ROTFLMAO!! Gee, I wonder why someone might think that? Just because he’s destroying his marriage, humiliating himself, his wife and sons in public, ruining his career, and making himself an international laughingstock, all at the same time?

When we look at the fiscal and strategic catastrophe Mr. Obama is rushing to visit upon our nation, too many people assume there must be a misunderstanding; he just can’t be doing this with intent. But, as Tammy has pointed out, the simple fact is it’s all too typical that emotionally damaged charismatics rise to leadership positions. Look at the acts of overt political self-destruction we’ve witnessed in recent historical memory, ranging from Sanford to John Edwards to Larry Craig to Bill Clinton and Newt Gingrich, not to mention Richard Nixon. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. There are far too many instances like this to dismiss, and these incidents are not accidents; they’re games of Russian Roulette that go on and on until the hammer falls on a live charge. Power attracts a troubled element. This is another reason not to concentrate so much authority in any one person.
By the way, we’re expecting that John Edwards sex tape to show up on the Internet any day now. Already a couple of still shots have been posted:
Okay, so this part was a goof. But what is it about these politicians touching everyone? It is, like everything else they do, symptomatic of a readiness to invade other people’s space. Firstly, do they make a gargle for the synapses so I can rinse the rancid taste left by those photos and your scandalous insinuations out of my now dry heaving mind.
Secondly, what appears to be at work as well with the fallen political stars you named is the same malady that proved to be O.J.’s downfall, an ever escalating unaccountability. These victimizers are led to believe through years of lauding and applause by their fans and entourages that they can act on every selfish and self-aggrandizing impulse without any fear of recrimination. Not only will these sycophants and hero-worshippers merely look the other way as they fail to intercede in order to arrest the escalation of infractions but they will at times, as they dread the loss of access to those in power, actually facilitate in the commission of bad acts and the eventual deliverance from any manner of consequence that is necessitated by them. Hey, sombody’s gotta drive the getaway car (e.g. the white Bronco). But it is, as always, our moral choice as a Society whether we want to sit silently in the back seat while we are taken along for the ride.

Re: Maynard’s announcement of the oncoming Edward’s “Sex Tapes.”
At least the “sex tapes” will not be of John “Traitor” Kerry with John- I- Can’t- Pass- A -Mirror- Edwards. They will be ,however, as disastorous and unromantic as the Parils Hilton “sex tapes” and watched by millions on u-tube.
I wonder what that runt Paul Begala will say about the Edwards “sex tapes”? Or James I -Got-Marbles-In-My- Mouth-Carville? (Actually marbles were used by diction teachers a few decades ago. They were put in students mouths to make them announciate around obstacles and still be crystal clear speakers-so now you know. Carville fails all reasonable tests.) MSNBC will be spinning for Edwards but really who watches MSNBC? FOX NEWS has Bob Bickle who will squirm a little on the Hannity Show over the tapes and what’s her face Democrat Strategy Spokesperson from Alaska will spin for the Democrat Edwards. All in all this too shall fade from our TV screens.
Now that I have told you what will happen you don’t need to watch any of it -the tapes or the spin. Too predicatable and not much purient interest .
