Angelina Jolie Not a Fan of Obama
Barack Obama does not have Angelina Jolie’s seal of approval.
“She hates him,” a source close to the U.N. goodwill ambassador, 34, tells the new issue of Us Weekly.
“She’s into education and rehabilitation and thinks Obama is all about welfare and handouts. She thinks Obama is really a socialist in disguise,” adds the source.
But don’t expect to see the Salt actress rally against Democrats on Fox News like her staunch Republican father, Jon Voight.
“Angie isn’t Republican, but she thinks Obama is all smoke and mirrors,” the source says.
And those political views are putting her at odds with Brad Pitt, 45, who is a big fan of the president and even went solo to the 2008 election party in Chicago.
“They get in nasty arguments all the time about it,” says the source. “She doesn’t respect Brad when it comes to politics, but, in the end, this won’t tear them apart.”
It had been *rumored* that Jolie had some interest in playing Dagny Taggart in a future Atlas Shrugged mini-series. This suggested that she was something of a free-thinker, and not wedded to dogma. (You shouldn’t take Hollywood rumors too seriously until the project is filmed; it’s a rumor-driven industry, with most rumors and announcements being complete fabrications.)

It was listed in the IMDB that she was cast as Dagny. This was a couple years ago, I believe and the producer wanted to do it as a feature. I’ve always thought Michelle Pfeiffer would be a good Dagny, but she’s getting a little long in the tooth for it now. Always wondered how Rand’s choice, Farrah would have been in the movie. It should be a miniseries anyway. Does Charlize Theron have the chops for Dags? Probably, but who cares, as long as the loves scenes are hot….. 😉
To tell the truth, I’m not anxious to see “Atlas Shrugged” made at all, in that it’s more likely to be a disappointment than a triumph. It would take tremendous talent and vision to translate the story to the screen and make it lively; it’s so easy to fall into stereotypes and clichés. Can it even be done?

What is most attractive about Jolie is her mind and her independent spirit. I have noted that she is not a follower, that she is on her own path, and, truthfully, I would have been amazed if it came out that she liked b.o.! This comment that she hates b.o. is entirely consistent with the person I have believed her to be. What has been completely alarming in the past two years is how this idiot, yes, mr. “smoke and mirrors” has so utterly seduced so many! How quickly and completely so many have surrendered! The cult of b.o. … or the cult of b.s., both apply. Real, tangible “hate” is a gritty emotion. B.o.’s b.s really constellates that feeling of hate for many of us, like nothing else. 🙁
I find myself tending to feel sorry for Obama of late. Not because of anything really, except the times I have seen a picture of him, taken in an unguarded moment. I find myself thinking “these eyes are those of a tormented man, it’s haunted back in there.”
Too, I have seen some of what can result when a crazy person is in charge of the house.
People suffer.
As to Angelina, she’s the smart one I think. Of course I’m prejudiced in favor just because.

Leon, I was saying the same thing about the boys when I was reading Atlas. Where are the men that are like Hank Reardon, John Galt, et. al.? Not to mention Howard Roark!
She may be estranged from papa but looks like the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree.
Wasn’t a fan of Angelina Jolie but this makes me like her a little more.
You know, there’s Mary Matalin and James Carville. . .I can only imagine the political arguments in that household right about now, and I believe they are still together. So it is possible for Brad and Angelina to be poles apart politically and still be a committed couple leading a family unit.
Her dad must be having and affect on her. He was a flaming lib in the 60’s. He was recently at the rally at the capitol with Michelle Bachmann and he gave the best speech of them all.
Of course Angelina Jolie is correct about Obama being a Socialist. You can’t grow up in a house with John Voigt and not get enlightened about the dangers within our country. Frank Gaffney, terrorism expert and author of “War Footing” says it right and believes Obama is aligned with the Muslim Brotherhood. Sorry, but I’ve never liked Angelina Jolie. I still don’t even though she appears to be less than enthused about Urkel. I’ve always found her to be a mediocre at best actress and a nasty person. As Tammy once said about her, “She’s a pair of lips on a stack of bones.”
I suppose Angelina is off Martha Stewart’s guest list. (I’m sure Angelina has higher standards anyway.)
political affiliations aside, and age as well, some of my other favorite actresses include Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter, Glenn Close, Stockard Channing, Geena Davis, Sean Young, Dana Delany, Goldie Hawn (my only true love), Drew Barrymore, Julia Ormond, Devon Aoki, Melanie Lynskie, … Good lord I’m hooked on the ladies.
and she’s also bisexual which means there is a god.
