What, spring fashion in AK? Them there furs Palin is sportin’ must peeve PETA plenty.
Tammy thanks for posting the compilation from PalinTV. Geraldine Ferraro played the party line as much as she felt she needed to, but she was always kind and respectful to Sarah Palin, and I am sure the Governor appreciated it.
The sad thing is that Tammy’s got to point out what ought to be obvious; that is, that Palin’s been a 100% class act, always inclusive and generous and upbeat. In a decent world, this would be acknowledged even by those that disagree with her politics, just as Palin makes no pretense that she goes along with Hillary’s politics. But instead she’s got to defend herself of complicity in murder. This while Pelosi and Reid call their political opposition Nazis and racists. What a strange world this is, where such nonsense is acceptable.
We’ll never know, but I do think John McCain might have been the right man for the presidency. Yes, I know we have our issues with him…amnesty, McCain-Feingold, etc. But he has a long history of opposing fiscal irresponsibility, and also a good sense of global strategy. As president, he’d be steering us toward a stable economy and a stable world, and Palin would have been our watchdog in the White House. Unlike so many Washington creatures, McCain wasn’t in anybody’s pocket. If he messed up, it was because he decided to, not because he was compelled by special interests. But never mind; it didn’t happen, and there’s no point in wasting too much time contemplating the road not taken. But I lament nevertheless.
I think he would have won if he hadn’t pulled off his maverick move of temporarily suspending the campaign only days after he’d finally moved ahead in the polls. That was such a self-sabotaging maneuver that I have trouble believing that he really wanted to be president deep down in his bones.
Thanks for the commentary and insight, Tammy. Can you imagine what it will be like once the big announcement is made? Are you planning to do a daily Palin report? How will some of us get any work done?
FYI – Gov. Palin’s next scheduled speaking event is April 15th at a Woman of Joy conference in Oklahoma City. (more info)
