Flashback: ‘Morning Joe’ Mocks President Trump’s Caravan ‘Non-Story’
by Shifra on November 27, 2018Mika and Schmoe, er, Joe, “titans of journalism.” Yeah, no. Via CNS. MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski were quick to mock President Trump and Fox News after the midterms about the migrant caravan swarming to the U.S.-Mexico border, sarcastically remarking on Morning Joe that the story was overblown, had no legs, and was essentially an election stunt. However, there are 7,000-plus migrants now in Tijuana and Mexicali and more than 40 people attempted to breach a hole in the border fence yesterday and another 42 migrants were caught and arrested on U.S. soil…. It’s unlikely that MSNBC’s Mika and Joe will retract their doltish mockery of the caravan story. For the record, here is what these titans of journalism...

CNN Report Omits Key Details on Man Who Vandalized Brooklyn Synagogue
by Shifra on November 4, 2018If the alleged vandal had volunteered for the Trump campaign, CNN would have blasted this out, 24/7, for the next month. Via Daily Wire. CNN failed to report key details on Saturday about the man who allegedly vandalized a New York City synagogue with anti-Semitic messages, leaving out his ties to Democratic leaders and his work on combating hate crimes. “And a Brooklyn man has been arrested and charged with a hate crime for anti-Semitic messages found in a New York synagogue on Thursday,” CNN’s Fredricka Whitfield said. “James Polite is also charged with criminal mischief and making graffiti.”…. Whitfield failed to report that Polite was a Democratic activist, volunteered for former President Barack Obama’s presidential campaign, and previously worked...

Stelter: Media Pays Too Much Attention To ‘Migrant Caravan Story’
by Shifra on October 25, 2018Shorter Stelter: Ignore any event that might reflect positively on Trump. Focus instead on Melania’s “I don’t care” jacket, Trump’s two scoops of ice cream.” And CNN wonders why they were beaten by SpongeBob SquarePants last week in the ratings. Via Political Insider. As you’ve undoubtedly heard, a caravan of 7,000 people is making its way to the U.S. after crossing various Central American countries. The caravan has now reached Mexico, and it’s unclear if the Mexican authorities will be able to prevent it from reaching America’s southern border. But it’s not that simple. On-the-ground reports from Fox News suggest that the caravan is transporting individuals from non-Central American countries, including people from other continents such as Africa and Asia…....

AP Changes Headline From ‘Army’ of Migrants To ‘Caravan’ After Libs Protest
by Shifra on October 22, 2018Army? Caravan? How about the “M” word? Fox News headline: Via Daily Caller. The Associated Press on Sunday changed a headline after a backlash from liberals furious at the AP for describing a caravan of illegal immigrants heading towards the United States as an “army of migrants.” “A ragged, growing army of migrants resumes march toward US,” read the original headline on the AP story. The AP later changed the headline to replace the word “army” with “caravan.” Though the AP has used the word “army” to refer to large groups of people besides migrants — including nurses and political activists — many on the political left criticized the wire service for its original headline. “This is not only incorrect,...

Flashback: NYT Questions Juanita Broaddrick’s ‘Vague’ Charge Against Clinton
by Shifra on October 18, 2018Ever since the Kavanaugh confirmation hearing, we have been told by the Democrats that every woman must be believed whenever there is a claim of sexual assault, even if the story changes, there is no physical evidence and no one can corroborate the event. But, in 1999, The New York Times, that so-called “champion of women’s rights,” questioned Juanita Broaddrick’s accusation of rape against then-President Bill Clinton. Looks like Dems believe all women should be believed…if the accusation is leveled against a conservative. Via Weekly Standard. ….The Times, we need hardly point out, was relentless in its effort to find any smidgen of untoward or unethical behavior in the youthful history of Brett M. Kavanaugh, to the point that every...

Fake Tweet: Yahoo Falsely Attributes Clinton Operative’s Sexist Slur to Lindsey Graham
by Shifra on October 4, 2018This is becoming all too familiar: Liberal news outlet posts fake news item. Liberal news outlet gets called out by social media. Liberal news outlet posts ambiguous “retraction” that manages to continue to spread false reporting. Via Breitbart. Yahoo News spread fake news Wednesday by falsely attributing a sexist quote from a Clinton political operative to Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC). Asked by The Atlantic‘s editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg about President Donald Trump’s Tuesday evening remarks about Christine Blasey Ford, Graham said the comments were “factual” and more broadly represented a shared frustration among conservatives of the treatment Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh is being subjected to. “Factual? It was a personal, degrading attack on someone who is a private citizen,” Goldberg...

‘USA Today’ Edits Column Calling For Kavanaugh To Stay Off Basketball Courts With Kids
by Shifra on September 30, 2018Looks like USA Today is competing with NYT for the most craven, shameless pseudo-journalism hit pieces. It was “re-edited” only because they got called out on social media. @USATODAY just made my travel plans easier – as an individual I can make a choice.I choose to not stay in hotels giving away your paper with my breakfast. Also, the one's I frequent, I'm going to call them and tell them I'm no longer staying with them, and why! — Chris Collins (@ctcollinsjr) September 30, 2018 Not an apology. I see what you did. Ill never read your paper or visit your web site again. And this is my last interaction with your brand, which I believe you have damaged significantly....

Fake WaPo ‘Conservative’ Tweets Fake News About GOP Attorney
by Shifra on September 26, 2018Fake “Conservative” Jennifer Rubin, who had the ‘chutzpah’ to call Sarah Huckabee Sanders a “liar,” has been caught…lying. I took a screenshot of her tweet, although as of this writing, she has not bothered to delete it, despite getting slammed on Twitter. Via Daily Caller. Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin falsely claimed on Tuesday that the prosecutor Republicans chose to head up the Kavanaugh hearings previously worked with Sheriff Joe Arpaio. The GOP chose Arizona prosecutor Rachel Mitchell to question Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh during Thursday’s hearing about Ford’s sexual assault allegations. Rubin quickly tweeted that Mitchell is “someone from Sheriff Joe’s operation,” presumably referring to the fact that both served in Maricopa County,...

NYT Slams Nikki Haley For Pricey Purchase Approved By Obama Admin. UPDATE: NYT Admits Creating ‘Unfair Impression’
by Shifra on September 14, 2018The NYT has become so toxic that at this point it might be dangerous to use the paper as birdcage lining. Via Washington Examiner. The New York Times is at it again. The paper published a duplicitous report Thursday evening suggesting U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley is responsible for major purchases reportedly decided under the Obama administration…. The story, titled “ Nikki Haley’s View of New York Is Priceless. Her Curtains? $52,701,” begins with The State Department spent $52,701 last year buying customized and mechanized curtains for the picture windows in Nikki R. Haley’s official residence as ambassador to the United Nations, just as the department was undergoing deep budget cuts and had frozen hiring…. ….This entire...

Flashback: NYT Lied About Anonymous ‘Senior Official’ Op-Ed in 2011
by Shifra on September 12, 2018The so-called “paper of record” lied to push their “progressive” agenda? Color me not shocked. Via Townhall. President Trump should probably call off the hunt for the “senior official in the…administration” who the New York Times is claiming wrote a damning op-ed for the newspaper. Apparently the “senior official” claims to be part of a group of White House staff trying to thwart the president’s agenda from within. He also claims they seriously considered trying to depose the president using the 25th amendment of the Constitution. Serious stuff. But President Trump should relax and remember it is the New York Times after all. The paper has a scandalous history of lying about the seniority of officials it quotes anonymously –...

NYT Profile on Mollie Tibbetts’s Accused Killer: ‘An Attentive Father’
by Shifra on August 28, 2018According to the NYT piece, the accused killer of Mollie Tibbetts “slipped across the border” seven years ago. Also known as entering the country illegally. A simple guy, with no vices…tending dairy cows…an attentive father to his daughter. Just when you thought the New York Times could not possibly sink any lower. Via NewsBusters. Saturday’s New York Times provided a soft profile of Cristhian Rivera, the accused killer of Iowa woman Mollie Tibbetts: “From Quiet Village in Mexico to a Lonely Furrow in an Iowa Cornfield.” It took nine reporters from across the United States and Mexico to capture this soft-focus portrait (whitewash?) of Rivera, the main reporters being Ann Klein, Mitch Smith, and Miriam Jordan. Cristhian Bahena Rivera, the...

Flashback: Obama Accused of Offering ‘Hush Money’ to Jeremiah Wright. MSM Silent
by Shifra on August 24, 2018If you follow MSNBC and CNN, you would think the Michael Cohen “hush money” story is the crime of the century, with the two cable networks mentioning “impeachment” 222 times in one day. But back in 2008, then-candidate Barack Hussein Obama was reported to have offered his pastor, Jeremiah ‘G.D. America’ Wright, $150K to stay out of the limelight until after the election. And the story was, of course, ignored by most of the MSM. Via PJ Media. ….Barack Obama also offered an individual hush money “for the principal purpose of influencing the election,” but you probably never heard about it. It wasn’t to silence a mistress though, it was to silence his former pastor, Jeremiah Wright. Wright’s inflammatory, anti-American...

NYT Deletes ‘Undocumented’ Status of Mollie Tibbetts’s Killer From Headline
by Shifra on August 23, 2018And the “legacy media” still wonder why we no longer trust them? Tammy’s latest Washington Times column addresses Mollie’s murder. With the correct headline. Tammy Bruce: The latest murder by an illegal alien Via Daily Caller. The New York Times opted to delete the immigration status of the man suspected of killing Iowa college student Mollie Tibbetts in an update to a headline about the incident Wednesday. According to the Twitter account Editing TheGrayLady, The Times made a number of changes to the headline of its story on Tibbetts’s murder before finally falling on “Immigrant Is Charged In Mollie Tibbetts Murder in Iowa, and Trump Seizes on Case.” …. Initially, after editors at The Times learned that an illegal immigrant...

CNN Ratings Fall To 7th Place, Lose to ‘Ancient Aliens’
by Shifra on August 15, 2018History Channel’s ‘Ancient Aliens’ has been criticized for presenting “pseudoscience” and “pseudohistory.” Which apparently is more popular than CNN’s pseudonews. Via Breitbart. CNN tanked in the cable ratings between August 6 and August 12, losing out to Fox News, MSNBC, and even the History Channel show Ancient Aliens, according to the latest data from Nielsen Media Research…. CNN finished in a distant seventh place, attracting 992,000 average viewers and falling behind HGTV, USA, the History Channel, and TBS in the weekly ratings.

Headline Fails: BBC, ‘Irish Times’ Display Their Anti-Israel Bias
by Shifra on August 13, 2018Israeli airstrike in Gaza City After barrages of rockets from Gaza, aimed at Israeli civilians, Israel hit back at Hamas targets. Would any country tolerate such attacks on their civilians? Via Honest Reporting. Residents of southern Israel spent the night in bomb shelters as Palestinians fired a heavy barrage of rockets and mortars (nearly 200, according to the most recent numbers I saw). The IDF retaliated with air strikes on more than 100 Hamas terror sites. As we expected, we came across a few headline fails. Headlines matter because many people don’t read articles, just skimming their newspaper, web site or social media feed. Headlines also matter because studies show that they frame the way people read and remember a...
