Actor Van Williams, AKA The Green Hornet, Dead at 82

This story broke my heart. The Green Hornet was my hero as a young child. I used to watch the show when it was new, every Friday night on ABC, and in reruns later. I was lucky enough to meet Van Williams at a Sci Fi show in Orlando in 1991. He was a very nice guy and talked to me for a few minutes and I got an autographed photo of him. if you read his bio, he also acted in an early 60's show, called Surfside 6. He later left acting and went on to be involved in law enforcement and firefighter. He was married for 57 years. The show has still not been released on DVD or VHS, except for some bootleg copies from TV. I was disappointed with the 2011 Seth Rogan theatrical movie. I waited all those years for a movie, and they had to ruin it. I'll miss you, Van Williams. You were a big part of my youth.
