Autopsy – The Last Hours of Karen Carpenter

On February 4th 1983 i came home from school and found out my favorite singer had died.I was a teenager and i knew a 32 year old woman just does not all of a sudden die of heart failure. And what the heck is anorexia? And then the awful jokes. Her death had always been a mystery to me. Besides her beautiful voice, Karen's down to earth friendly demeanor was endearing to me. So over the years anything that came out about Karen i would watch or read hoping i would understand why she had died. Then in 2011 the book Little Girl Blue: The Life of Karen Carpenter came out written by Randy L Schmidt. I read the book and my question had been answered. This excellent documentary which appeared on British television last night is called Autopsy.

Thank you so much for this. I have been a fan of Karen since 1971. Definitely has a one-of-a-kind voice that lives on.
