Bletchley Park Pardon

The Queen of England pardoned Alan Turing effective Dec. 24, 2013. He was a Bletchley Park codebreaker instrumental in deciphering the Enigma machine. He was pardoned for his 1952 conviction for homosexuality. He chose chemical castration in lieu of prison as punishment. He died by eating a cyanide-laced apple in 1954.

    I cant believe this happened to someone who was responsible for saving lives. I feel bad for what he went through because of discrimination. He didnt need a pardon,he needed understanding and respect.
