I was raised as a Protestant by fairly conservative parents, my dad having left the Catholic church early in his life, so for most of my life I've viewed the Roman Catholic church with a fair amount of distrust and suspicion. But as I've grown (and hopefully matured somewhat) I've gained a large measure of respect for the institution as a bulwark against the ruinous influence of the various denominations of the Leftist religion and the barbarism of the Islamic world.
