Ironic Flashback: In 2017, California decriminalized knowingly exposing someone to HIV

In today's climate of lockdowns and enforced distancing, it's interesting to remember SB239, less than 3 years ago, when it stopped being a felony to knowingly expose a partner to HIV in California. Doesn't seem right that it's okay (technically a misdemeanor, which makes the offence meaningless) to knowingly spread AIDS while we stomp the entire population just in case someone might unknowingly spread coronavirus.
