Panetta’s Folly update: Cracking the floodgates

I've said before that any woman who can pass the same physical standards for active combat positions ought to be allowed to serve in that capacity, but the pressure the loosen the standards in order to get around the basic facts of biology would be immense.

Well, they've begun buckling under the pressure.

The Marine Corps is putting off the requirement that women recruits meet the same pullup standard as the men recruits. Now, my hat's off to anyone who signs on the dotted line to defend our country as part of the Armed Forces, but if you don't have the upper body strength to carry your brother-in-arms out of a combat zone it puts his life unnecessarily at risk. Nothing against the women recruits, but the people at the Pentagon KNOW BETTER and they're going forward with it anyway.
