Christmas time: brings such a mixed bag of emotions for me. The stressful hustle and bustle of the season overwhelms me. Long ago I got over such worries as “is my gift equal to the gift I will receive”? I am at a place of giving with love and receiving with grace, equal money shelled out be damned. But still, I feel that the “reason for the season” is easily lost. That is until I received a gift from my dear parents last year. A goat, yes a goat! I opened a card and wept as I read – that a gift had been given in my name through The Samaritan's Purse. A gift of a goat to an impoverished family in Africa. It was perfect.
