The nerds had a grand college experience, but Trump has put them back in High School, dominated by the cool jock and his beautiful cheerleader girlfriend. This they cannot stand.
There is more to Trump hatred, of course, but you should have seen Jerry Brown standing next to Donald Trump after the Camp Fire (Paradise, CA). It's one thing to trash an Alpha at a distance; it's another thing to be in his presence. The body language said it all. Trump wasn't doing a thing — it was the psychology of it.
Blue collar people (or the Deplorables) aren't afraid to be around Trump.
