Santorum spoke like a real “mentsch” (Yiddish for: a person of integrity). And now, TAMS, we roll up our sleeves, for there is much work to do. #GameOn #War

Tammy, I had the exact same thought: here’s a man who is able to speak extemporaneously and from the heart. If I had my druthers, I’d like to see Newt take the nomination; I really wanted it to be Sarah. Not to be. Newt really is the only figure in recent history who actually accomplished change in Washington. I remember the sick, sick feeling I had in November of 2008, when the only bright spot after the election was waiting to see what Sarah was going to say or do next. She did carry us through that horrible time, even in defeat. Mitt Romney looked pretty darn good then as well. Now, it’s time to heal and get that leftist gargoyle out of the White House. I will gladly and enthusiastically vote for Mitt if he’s the nominee. I live in Massachusetts, and while Mitt was governor, I must say I never had the feeling of impending doom or insecurity I have with both the current governor and the gargoyle. I’m ready for boring. I’m sick of rule by a preening fool whose brain trust is composed of vapid celebrities, ideological boobs, racist ministers and the creme de la creme of the corrupt.

Little Ricky never really impressed me during the campaign and his long-winded withdrawal speech only served to re-enforce my original perception of him but I will say that he went a much longer way then anyone originally thought. The man was a fighter who spoke from his heart and said what he believed. Good luck to him in whatever endeavor he tries in the future.

God bless little Bella. Sleeves rolled up Shifra. #GameOn#War!

Santorum may have spoken like a mentsch, but I don’t think his campaign was kosher. He dropped out not because of his daughter, nor because “he gave it his best shot and fell short”, but because his sneaky role in the campaign of the guy he endorsed in 2008 has been fulfilled. The whole thing was a set-up from the get-go – Santorum, Bachmann, Paul, T-Paw, Perry, all used to soak up conservative support so no real conservative could get a foothold, while the “next-in-line” non-conservative Mittenz could glide up the middle. Who knows, Cain and Newt may have been in on it too. Still hoping for a game-change to rescue this phoney process that leaves a real sour taste in my mouth.

You nailed it flaggman!Awhile back his daughter Bella had a serious episode and Santorum continued on the trail. Why stop now? Thought’s,Prayer’s and good vibes still go out to Bella.

  6. Patricia says:

I agree with you mostly flaggman – except for Gingrich. Yes Shifra you are correct, we are going to have to roll up our sleeves and help whoever the nominee becomes and watch them like a tea party TAM hawk!

    • Shifra says:

      “Tea Party TAM hawk” LOL!

flaggman, I do agree with you, but I am just so relieved that Santorum is *finally* dropping out. So I am in a generous mood, and I wish him and his family well.

Ever since I listened to Santorum talk about how he didn’t believe that the Constitution gives us an individual right to privacy, I have had no respect for him. He honestly believes, because of his religion, that the government should be powerful enough to go beyond basic moral principles (murder is wrong, stealing is wrong, etc.) and pass laws that govern the gray areas – essentially passing his Judeo-Christian views into legislation that police our private lives, all the way to our bedrooms.

I have every respect for the man’s faith, but he believes in forcing religious dogma on the law, and that is something I cannot respect and never will. I do hope that his daughter is alright.
