Honey Badger Brigrade Stands Up; Kicked Out

The Honey Badger Brigade (women comics artists group) was just kicked out of the Calgary Comics Expo. because it is 'a safe and positive space for everyone' and the HBB hurt some feelings. HBB's 'violation' was that its booth had a banner on GamerGate and HBB member had dissed feminism by critiquing that it always made women the victim. Therefore by decrying victimization and censorship, that violated a safe and positive space for everyone and HBB was swiftly victimized (kicked out of expo.). Some victims are more equal than others.

    Off topic. Re L.Lynch nomination, Breitbart has article on her soon presumed Senate confirmation, that the story on the hold-up of her confirmation vote has not been accurately reported (due mainly to Republican camouflage). Article states that hold-up was not on long existing Hyde standard on not funding abortion. But rather, Republicans were trying to expand prohibition on abortion funding from no taxpayer funds to no public funds. Eg, Democrats want to use fines and penalties collected by Fed. gov’t to fund abortions. I believe that the ‘compromise’ is that everyone agrees with the existing Hyde language on no taxpayer funds. Which leaves Obama to fund abortions by claiming that he’s using fines and penalties money not taxes. I don’t know if this is a new lawyered view of the existing language (eg, hey there’s a loophole) or if this has been going on all along. I suspect new under Obama, but could be wrong. Regardless, Democrats get everything they want and social conservatives get sold out. Establishment Republicans are so principled. Not.
