NYT: Law Lets I.R.S. Seize Accounts on Suspicion, No Crime Required

I've noted before that if the country treated criminals like it treats taxpayers, the ACLU would be up in arms. A taxpayer is presumed guilty until he proves his innocence, and he is required to testify against himself and anyone else he does business with. A taxpayer can have his assets seized without due process. And now we've the got IRS targeting the president's political opposition. These are all inevitable symptoms of a government with too much power.
