Where to begin? There is so much that can be said here. One, I believe that guns for suicide is mostly a guy thing. Two, on a practical basis, women (and men and sometimes children) use guns to save their lives and the lives of others – why should your depression trump the rights of others to save lives including their own? Three, she could get listed as mentally unable to have a gun and be prevented from buying one today. Four, how can you tell hunters that they can’t have guns? If she is after banning handguns, then she would buy a long gun for protection and could still use that for suicide if so inclined. (I have a suspicion that she is anti-hunting.) Five, doesn’t she agree that you have a rights to protect your home and family? Seems that she builds some false case, what about a real criminal breaking into your house, don’t people have a right to protect their home! This is where England went down the tubes, when it banned protecting your home from invasion, which is why England’s crime rate is so high.
