Paris: Jewish shops burned & pillaged

“Riot police held back a mob of youths who tried to attacks two synagogues in the town of Sarcelles in the northern Paris suburbs…

Several cars were burned. Three shops, including a Kosher grocery, were burned and pillaged.”

    Tour de France ends this Sunday on the Champs Elysee. Even with significant police presence, it would be easy to disrupt the race.

    Leader of the race is Vincenzo Nibali of Italy, born in Sicily. He has previously won Spain’s grand tour and Italy’s grand tour. If he wins the TdF, then he will have won all 3 cycling grand tours.
