Reddit? Shed It!

Reddit just fired a very popular subsite moderator. She ran the subsite, AmA (ask me anything). Which just had Jesse Jackson on and he performed horribly. His answers didn't match the questions. One of the questions concerned, what's your relationship with your illegitimate child, are you proud of shaking down companies, do you think Al Capone would be envious of you. So other Reddit subsite moderators are reacting by locking their sites (making them private). Reasons proffered for firing include she's in NY and Reddit wants its employers to locate to San Franciso, she wasn't amenable to changes such as doing AmA on video, but the most logical assumed reason is the disastrous JJ session has created liberal reaction of heads must roll because she didn't do a good job of filtering questions. Only the left could fire someone for not filtering questions for an Ask Me Anything show.

Update: Reddit is mostly back to normal. It’s rival, Voat, is small and couldn’t handle all the dissatisfied Reddit traffic. Voat was founded last year by 2 U. of Zurich students. However sensing an opportunity, venture capitalists are now talking with Voat. http://www.bbc.com/news/technology-33447512
