Go ahead! Make my day!

Due to popular demand, here is a larger version of the new Tammy Radio image, A Chick with a Gun and a Microphone. Yes, the two things that make the establishment the most upset. Well, three things if you include the chick 🙂

For the first time in ages, I have had a photo session not arranged or controlled by a corporate entity, and I’m thrilled with the results. As you can see, I have a new pic in the banner above, and the Chick with a Gun and a Microphone pic is in the Tammy Radio sidebar here to the right. Those two plus two more are also in the Gallery subpage (that link is just under the banner). I hope you like them. There are actually 150 more shots from this session, so there will be more to come.

I think it’s safe to say the picture of me with Snuffy and a microphone will become the primary image for The Tammy Bruce Show.

UPDATE:

I want to thank John Hawkins for linking at Conservative Grapevine, and to SondraK for her sharing of the pic as well. There has been some controversy over the fact that I have my finger on Snuffy’s trigger. Yes, I know that is politically incorrect firearm etiquette, but this is a photo and I wanted it this way for the dramatic impact. It’s that simple. It’s a portrait, not an instructional photograph. At the same time, the folks over at SondraK have posted their solution to the “trigger-guard mystery.” Hmmm…

UPDATE:

Headmistress SondraK sure is busy. I believe she has found the ultimate rebuttal to the ‘trigger finger’ controversy.

And Ed Driscoll is kind enough to link as well.

WOW!! At the risk of sounding un-PC, you’re HOT!! I think you may want to change your theme music to “The Silencers” by Vikki Carr…now I’m waiting for you to post a picture of you and the infamous boa!!

Wow hold me back. You look awesome.

  5. Dan Patterson says:

The real you. I do like it.
Careful with that trigger, though, you really should keep the trigger isolated until you are lined-up on a goblin.

What is your take on the recent revival of the Fairness Doctrine discussion?

As a red blooded American male heterosexual, let me state that I am envious of all your lady friends. BTW, snuffy really does put the cherry on top!

  12. Allen says:

I literally did a double-take after realizing this wasn’t Diana Rigg. Great looking with a serious attitude. I love it!

  13. brutepcm says:

Okay- you have “Snuffy” and Michelle has the stiletto pen. What does this leave for Mary Kat? Pepper spray?

  14. Bachbone says:

The caption should be, “Go ahead _______(e.g., trolls), make my day!”

  15. ballistic says:

As Dan Patterson noted before, please take your finger out of the trigger guard. We don’t want to give the anti’s one more thing to complain about.

You new photos are classy and quite becoming. When can I see you in the flesh (i.e., are you speaking in person soon anywhere in NE Ohio)?

  16. Talkin Horse says:

    Bee-yooteeful!

The gun looks awfully big in the pic, although actually it’s a small one. But there’s no contrast except Tammy, who isn’t a big gal. (And that’s fine. “Size matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my size, do you? Hmm? Hmm. And well you should not.” —Yoda)

  17. Airdale says:

Tammy – You and Snuffy make such a cute couple!! 🙂

  18. helpunderdog says:

Feistiness, panache, and aplomb all rolled into one!
I can see you are not afraid to use it if you must.
Now I want a playful photo of you with Sydney.

  19. Harpo says:

I agree. These are terrific photos. How about a signed copy of you and the mic and the gun?

  20. artgal says:

Indeed, the signature photo of the Tammy Bruce Show! A definite Weekend Babe page addition, too!

  21. Floyd R. Turbo says:

Um…what they said! And my two cents: Tammy, you are one LOVELY LADY. Scrum-yumptious! Or yum-scrumptious. Thanks for the new photos. As Tony The Tiger would say…”Theyyyy’re Grrrrreat!” Yeah, I know. It’s silly. But that’s me. Incurably appreciative of beauty.

  22. ashleymatt says:

“As Dan Patterson noted before, please take your finger out of the trigger guard.”

Uh, the gun is unloaded, people. She’s not putting any force on the trigger anyway, and her ringed (I like the jew’ry) finger in there looks aggressive and sexy.

Interestingly, when the first issue of the magazine, Women and Guns, was released in 1988, it contained a letter from a man complaining about the woman who created the magazine (Sonny Jones) being featured in Gun Week in a photo where her finger was visibly on the trigger of the gun with which she posed. She responded that it was “expressing attitude.”

    Get over it, boys.

  23. Beldar says:

No. Really. You need to get that picture retaken with your finger off the trigger (not even in the triggerguard). Anybody that has a clue about guns follow the four rules presented herewith:

    A gun is always loaded.
Never point a gun at anything which you are not willing to destroy.
NEVER put your finger on the trigger until you are on target and ready to shoot.
Always make sure of your target and beyond.

Them’s the facts. If you follow these rules, you will NEVER put a bullet where you didn’t want it to go. The problem is, if you ever send a bullet out the barrel of a gun when you didn’t want to, the consequences could be devastating, and there’s no way in hell you can call that bullet back. The solution is to take every opportunity to avoid such a situation.

Hell, just a few minutes ago, I heard strange noises in my house. I was sure that I wasn’t actually hearing a B&E, but I decided to investigate. Out comes the latest defensive weapon. Off I go to investigate the rest of the house. Not unexpectedly, I did not find an intruder. Not once did my finger touch the trigger, nor did my finger enter the trigger guard. Needless to say, no evil intruders had gained access to my domicile. Had that actually been the case, I would have been more surprised than anyone. But I was absolutely confident during the whole evolution that no property or pets were in danger, because my finger had absolutely nothing to do with the trigger of my weapon.

I hope this explains why (law-abiding) people who are around guns and understand them get so riled up when they see a finger anywhere near a trigger in so many of the media pictures/movies they see. They know how devastating the results can be if that finger accidentally twitches.

  24. RandyGrHa says:

Tammy–Thank you for the photo. “The Tammy” is definitely the “Honey West” of the 21st century. Randy.

  25. Kevin says:

Trigger finger??? Who in the heck is looking at her trigger finger?? You guys need to loosen up and appreciate the beauty of the shot!! Tammy isn’t posing for the NRA’s Handbook on Gun Safety….crimeny.

  26. Ellen says:

Now I get the connection. ;-] You’ve really got the Emma Peel thing going. Kewel.

  27. Steve in Ohio says:

Tammy, I think you could make the establishment even more upset by posing with a gun, a microphone, and a bustier. And if you just want to send a whole set of pictures like that to my email address for review and approval, I would have no problem with that at all.

    Rrrroooooowwwwwwrrr.

  28. wilson says:

Nice pic. VERY! Hec, that’s a book cover!

Keep your finger on the trigger, ya just never know…

  29. jeweytunes says:

    Hank et al:

A – Most of us know the rules (which ARE important).
B – We get your point.
C – Tammy has clearly identified and locked on her “targets” properly.
D – You guys definitely have not.
    E – Relax.

You are making me suspect you are just jealous of that trigger. J

  30. NavajoSierra says:

This is a FANTASTIC PHOTO! Really Fabulous!Congratulations, and thanks for your bullet-proof insights!

  31. beautifulatrocities says:

    HOT

  32. Dan Platt says:

Finally a photo set that sums up your excellent, spot on and thought provoking commentary. You’re my new Emma Peel.

  33. Rod says:

Tammy – unlike me you keep getting better loking all the time. Wow!
May it the gun. Had a thing about weapons all my life.

  34. auspatriotman says:

WOW! Tammy, “You rook mah-vo-lous.” I’m a daily over at SondraK (she is fantastic too!) and I saw the pic yesterday. Well, I’ve been listenting to you on the web Saturday nites for the past year and when I saw the pic I knew exactly what you were conveying. It looked HOT! That’s you for sure. A chick with a gun and a microphone! Bwhahahhaaha.

The gun “pc’ers” reminded me of the Pharasees in Christs day. Who needs em’. If they knew you, it wouldn’t have even crossed their minds. Amazing how little it takes to ruffle the blogosphere.

The gallery pics are beautiful too.

    Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

  35. Dave J says:

Awesome pics, Tammy. You continue to kick ass more and more every day. 🙂

  36. Is it just that some people just feel obligated to criticize something about everything?
It’s just a picture, and a gorgeous one at that, and as far as I know, no one has ever been shot by a picture, but if it’s that scary don’t stand too close to the picture.

But do remember, pictures don’t kill people, but sometimes they do cause paper cuts.

And for the technical purists, a hammerless Smith is all the harder to touch off because it is double action only, so that trigger has a long way to go before it goes bang.

Did I mention it was a gorgeous picture? Worthy of selling in 16×20 format.

  37. Thom says:

Just wanted to add to the list of compliments, the photos are… very wow-worthy. I hope it becomes a book cover someday, so people who haven’t heard of you might get the opportunity to find out about your views. I think people who didn’t know of Tammy before, would definitely want to know what thoughts were crossing her mind as the photo was taken.

  38. Skylark says:

Fantastic photo! Deserves to be a book or magazine cover!

I fired fifty rounds with a hammerless S&W once. My finger was numb for two hours after; it takes one tough chick to fire that gun! I agree with Neil-it isn’t going to go off that easily. Personally, I love the finger in the trigger; the rules are for real life, not photos.

We need more women with guns! Range Queens, unite!
