Nation marks 7th anniversary of terror attacks

On this anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, here is a link to the NRO archive of Lucianne Goldberg’s tribute from September 13, 2001 to Barbara Olson who perished on AA 77, the plane that was flown into the Pentagon.

Biden endorses Hillary for VP.
Might this be a test balloon for him to drop out?

Barry keeps going with the lipstick comments. On Letterman he muses that Palin is the lipstick and MCCain’s policies are the pig. Oh! Well that clears everything right up.

ABC plans prime-time Palin special. There is also a report that her new team, comprised in part of former Bush staffers, is ‘prepping’ her for the interview. Research is fine, but they had better let Sarah be Sarah. Over-preparing her could be a big mistake.

Here is Geraldine Ferraro on Greta’s show suddenly declaring that Barry isn’t a sexist. Frankly, a rather pathetic end for a woman who had represented the last honest and authentic feminist gravitas in the Democrat Party. It’s just sad how she twists in the wind. I’m hoping she isn’t just shilling for the party, but perhaps has shifted because there is talk of a Biden/Clinton switch. Regardless, it means Ferraro is now as hypocritical as the rest. It’s sad. Sometime my romanticism does get the best of me as I tend to expect too much from people.

Politico: Bill Jeff and Barack have lunch.

re: Bidens abdication prior to the official
    coronation

Tammy I think the Dem’s have seen the future and it is Palin. In a word they have been “Palinized”
A rare but frequently disastorous ailment, that elicits pride in country and faith in the intrinsic value of our leaders. Republicans respond favorably to the Palin syndrome, Democrats
tend to break out in hives and indecision.
Biden I think… has come down with Palin Syndrome
Thats my .2 cents and I’m sticking to it

Finally on this day of all days
I’m saying a prayer for all our Men and Women
serving our country and all of the Hero’s of 9/11

It seems like it is. But that would be an insane and desparate thing to do. Obama would rightfully go to his grave the subject of scorn and ridicule. If they admit he flubbed this first most important decision in his candidacy, it will be an admission that he also can’t handle the job he’s applyihg for.

  3. Kelly says:

Biden’s comments and Ferraro’s capitulation to Obama are enough to send up a red flag but coupled with the report that Barry and Billy Jeff are meeting for lunch today lends even more weight.

even if biden drops out for some unknown reason, I think hillary is too angry at her own party to just go with the flow anymore. her own party forced her to conceding, and then superboy barry gave no thought for her as the vp. They don’t know what to do. it’s kinda sad when you think about it, the democratic campaign is like a “pig with lipstick stuck in its own pigsty”.

I was disappointed w/ Ferraro’s appearance, too. I’ve grown to admire this woman, but she seemed to be backpedalling a bit last night.

I don’t put anything past Obama at this point. If Biden drops out, I doubt Obama would lose any support though it would be a hypocritical and calculated move. It’s very well he would gain support.

It’s my hope and prayer that Hillary is not so hungry for the power that she loses her last shred of dignity(…) to serve in the #2 spot under this jerk who threw her under the bus to begin with. It would be a little like repeating an abuse pattern – and I’m afraid she would do it.

So, while we’re praying for stength for the Palin family, let’s also pray that God gives Hillary the sense to refuse any deals the Obama campaign throws at her.

And let’s not forget to pray for all those lost their lives seven years ago today, and to our service men and women who continue risking their lives so we do not suffer another 9/11.

  6. Mike says:

If this were to happen I think the Republicans would hammer home daily how Obama’s decision making is horrendous and indecisive.
I am not sure they could get away with it at this time.

  7. Shawmut says:

Great show today, particularly the reverence expressed for those lives sacrifced on September 11th, 2001.
Appropriately, I will skip political issues.
But, in your closing remarks you made mention that the plot was planned over years. It transcended our politics.
We must remember, it is us, The United States of America, with all that we are, whom they hate.

I think there are no-go and lose-lose scenarios in play. First, I’m uncertain if Hillary would have accepted the v-p spot if it had been offered initially.
But certainly she can foresee the likely result of B HO’s campaign, and would not now accept the position. Why would she when she might have a
good opportunity for the presidency in four years? (McCain &/or Palin will have something to say about that.) As long as the independents vote
intelligently, then I don’t believe the election will be close. On the supposition that Hillary did accept, I think there would be an exodus of the centrist
dems finally disgusted enough with B HO’s poor decisions/judgment that they either refrain from voting or switch at least for the presidency. It depends
on by how many votes B HO wants to lose. I could never prove it, but I think he’d lose by more were he to change his v-p nominee at this late date.

  9. KatieSilverSpring says:

Greta did a great attempted grilling. But Ferraro cringes at racism … not sexism? She said Obama didn’t mean it? Race somehow absolves sexism?? That the expression was common in Illinois but not New York? First, I don’t accept that NY is the high holder of the highest moral standards, that is, no way could NY do that, but IL can? Let’s not forget this man is NOT FROM IL, he is from Hawaii and sexism and racism are fried there – it is never accepted.

I don’t know what to do about Ferraro’s statement. But we must be ever vigilant with people’s words and call them OUT on them.

Whew, I have to get some rest, this is too much.
