‘SNL’ Palin ‘Incest’ Skit Angers Viewers

Politico: Exclusive: Foreign banks may get help

“Journalist” complains
that they’re not getting enough attention from the McPalin camp, and that McCain is somehow hiding Sarah Palin. I guess they were too busy to notice the 60,000 strong Sarah crowd in Florida yesterday.

I posted on this earlier last week, but it’s worth repeating. Please vote in PBS’ poll on whether or not Sarah Palin is qualified to be Vice-President. Apparently, you can vote more than once. The Obamatrons are swamping this poll, so let’s counteract them. Oh, btw, you know what makes someone “qualified” to be VP? Our vote, that’s what.

Early voting starts today in some states

I think the point of the SNL New York Times staff meeting skit (that infers that Todd Palin does his daughters) was to show how out of it the NYT’s staff is when it comes to attacking Republicans. It was actually making fun of extreme elitism and liberalism of the NYT’s. The skit wasn’t funny, but I had to give it to them for addressing this problem in their own back yard.

    Hi Tammy-

there is a new poll on PBS –

Who do you trust more to fix the economic mess?

McCain is ahead by 64% to 35%! As it should be…

I frequently vote absentee at Boston City Hall.
These ballots then get sent to the precinct and are opened during the tally when polls close.
My only concern is that these early votes don’t get parried into exit-polls leading up to Election Day. I think there are mechanisms in this that bear careful watching.

According to the Wall St. Journal, “Joe Biden isn’t backing down from his startling claim last week that raising taxes on the rich is the ‘patriotic’ thing to do. On Thursday he upped the ante, thundering that he also has Jesus in his corner. ‘Catholic social doctrine as I was taught it is, you take care of people who need the help the most.’”
    http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122204158558561239.html?mod=googlenews_wsj
Joe Biden believes Americans should pay higher taxes as a show of patriotism. Nothing is stopping Biden from contributing more of his wealth to the IRS, NOTHING. He can write a check right now! But no, he will only pony up more if others pay more, even though it is his conviction that paying more taxes is the right thing to do. Joe Biden will be patriotic only if others are patriotic. What would you think of a person who wanted to adopt a puppy from the pound, in fact got in your face about it insisting you should do it too, but then didn’t because you didn’t? This says a lot about character, conviction, integrity, and honesty. Why is it Biden won’t follow through with his conviction unless others too do what he proposes? If it’s the right thing to do, why doesn’t he do it? How many times have you heard rich liberals say that they should pay more taxes while their money is in fact squirreled away by the finest tax accountants in a way to avoid the very taxes they say they should pay? I’ve heard Bill Clinton say it, John Kerry say it, and now Joe Biden say it. Biden has gone on to say his religion, Catholicism, supports his assertion that paying higher taxes is the right thing to do. Once again, why doesn’t he follow the tenets of his personal faith and take it upon himself to be a role model and pay more taxes? Basically he’s outing himself as a bad Christian. After all, not only doesn’t he voluntarily pay the taxes he thinks he (and others) should, but also, he gives VERY little to charity. Examining Biden’s charitable giving according to his tax returns over the last 10 years reveals that in that time he earned at least 2.5 million dollars and yet donated a measly $3,690 to charity! WWJD?

    Year Adj. Gross Income Charity
    1998 $215,432 $195
    1999 $210,797 $120
    2000 $219,953 $360
    2001 $220,712 $360
    2002 $227,811 $260
    2003 $231,375 $260
    2004 $234,271 $380
    2005 $321,379 $380
    2006 $248,459 $380
    2007 $319,853 $995

    Total Income: $2,450,042
    Total to Charity: $3,690

Joe Biden is certainly the man with the moral authority to dictate how much money you must give to the government and just how that money should be spent because he has walked the walk and talked the talk. This is a man we can trust to do the right thing.

  7. Shawmut says:

There are similarities in the surge of attacks now as with pre: WTC 93, USS Cole, and 9/11.
One of the most important considerations in intelligence reports, is having someone in charge who can not only read them, but can understand their impact, and then to act on what is reported.
Being “present” at a meeting of the National Security Council won’t cut it.
    1. Let’s hope that this “intelligence” is being acted upon.
    2. Let’s remember – no attacks on US soil since 9/11/01.
    3. Don’t you worry when “intelligence” leaks (or gets leaked).

  8. ConnecticutBruce says:

the whole idea that the Palin skit was done innocently by NBC rings really hollow to me. nobody knows the faceless assignment editor at the NY Times, so the skit didn’t really call anyone in the media out. If NBC’s intent was really to skewer the bottom feeders in the media, they should have had keith olbermann as the culpable media member on a fishing expedition for Palin dirt. THAT would have been funny. but the idea of self reflection is quite alien to these vampires.

Shucks! Forgot something. Hate to keep popping up. But:
Your run on the toatal void of ethics by financial poobahs raised a few points to consider and I suggest we watch the play:
    1. Today, oil spiked (again) a possible scenario right in the midst of our financial crisis.
    2. In spite of trying to pacify the public there will be a mad-scramble for cash, public and institutional – And where is the cash?
    3. Watch out for Sharia Compliant Financing as the quick fix and an “F’you” to the rest of the country from our little red-suspended fiscal wizards.

Ah Tammy, After being out of the loop for a week tending to important business ( ha ! ) I catch your show and read your blog and I’m back on top of everything. I watched the entire clip of the Sarah speech at the Villages on your other post and had more than a leg tingling. The speech was loaded with substance, Sarah is a woman on a mission and the left should be afraid, very afraid.
What I saw was a woman with a track record of change and making things happen. Not someone who speaks empty words and dishes out false promises. I saw a woman with unmatchable grit who will teach John McCain a thing or two. I saw our future.
Thanks to your commenters who help me catch up with what’s going on with their information and helpful links and thanks Tammy for the on the scene report from Ashley Matt, your guest today who filled us in on the happenings at Sarahs appearance at the Villages in Florida yesterday. It’s great to have someone who was there who can give us a first hand report on how things went down and saw and heard it all. Thanks to all.
