I have to shake my head when offense is taken over Christmas celebrations. In a simple manger on a quiet night millenniums ago, the birth of a baby changed the world. Regardless of one’s religious inclinations, a devotional story about redeeming grace brought by a child has something to say to all open hearts.

Merry Christmas

I love Christmas and wish that Christamas Eve (the best night of the year) would last 48 hours, although I must tell you that the whole Nativity stories (that both contradict each other by the way) that are in Matthew and Luke are entirely made up. No record of all from the ancient Judean historian Josephus Flavius about any massacre of innocents in Bethlehem too.

I’m a little late, as usual, but Merry Christmas to all! Here, the dinner was delicious, the grandkids were too cute for words, and I’m exhausted but happy. I hope the day after Christmas finds you all in a similar condition (minus the exhaustion!)
