Santelli/CNBC Poll: Would You Join the Chicago Tea Party?
The video on this main page may be too jammed to run, but be sure to click on the poll link just below the video box. When I was there over 217,000 people had voted, 94% of them saying “Yes.”

DeMint to Force Vote on Fairness Doctrine

Well, it looks like Barkey wants to create a New Orleans for every state of the union.

And?

A WaPo story has a Replublican “ally” of Sarah Palin’s saying she feels “beaten up.” That may be true, or it simply may be an effort to make her appear weak. Either way, it’s never been more clear that we need to have her back, and makre sure she knows she has our support. (You mayneed to register with the WaPo to access this story).

30 days and we see and pronounce the illegitimacy of this Administration. It didn’t take 30 days to make this Administration illegitimate of course. And, it only took 29 days for a shot heard round the world to be fired. This says to me we Americans, Republican, Democrat, and Independent CANNOT let this Administration continue, or our nation will be destroyed. There have been usurpation of many of our Constitutional rights, this is obvious. The Constitution now speaks to us to exercise our right to petition the Government, file suit, and at the same time calling for this Administration’s immediate resignation. I think I speak for the majority of Americans.

Peculiar thing about these characters that want the Fairness Doctrine. Bill Press was on ‘Laura’ this morning and what an ass. Discussing the overwhelming success of conservative voices on radio, he said, “Give me a chance.”
I thought Lara did and he lost. Obviously, ‘fair’ competition is not inviting to him. He already has, or had, his chance.
His argument suggests that in the market-place of ideas he has nothing to sell; thus he is not supported. But with a guaranteed job, he would at least be paid. He would still have nothing to sell.
Now if the NY Times had to act accordingly we would not have reporting like this:
“LANGLEY, Va. — Visiting the Central Intelligence Agency to swear in Leon E. Panetta as the agency’s 19th director, Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. said Thursday that the Bush administration’s detention and interrogation policies “gave Al Qaeda a powerful recruiting tool.””
Now, let’s look at this; At an agency, which should be free of partisanship, Biden splays a former president, and NYT reports it as significant.

ROBK, I’m with you! I would LOVE to force B. Hussein and his whacko administration to resign. Now that would be true justice for America!

I hope DeMint is successful in saving the First Amendment from the evil, communist clutches of the Left.

I joined the tea party yesterday… I’ve been ready to go since Nov 4.

Not exactly on topic, but this is a great read:

I think it is a tribute to Sarah Palin that she so frightens the liberal media and “good old boy” network that, even when she stays away from the mainstream, they have to get a dig in. I don’t think she scares that easily and I doubt the *anonymous* legislator’s observation of her being “ill at ease and defensive”. It was probably the reverse, since he was afraid of being identified because he may have to work with her. It’s so interesting that a great majority of the people saying negative things about Sarah Palin want to be quoted anonymously. If you say something – own it or shut the hell up!

  6. HALEY says:

I love Sarah Palin. I think I’m going to write her a letter letting her know how much I appreciate her.

I agree, Palin2012, that she doesn’t scare that easily. However, she has been under vicious attacks over her grandson and whatever else the liberal media cooks up. They’re so sick. Personally, I’ve never seen a candidate treated so horribly by the liberals and their media.

  7. John says:

Shawmut, I heard Bill Press today, too. If his argument is that liberal talk radio was relegated to stations with poor signals, why not push for AM stations to improve their signal strength and buy more powerful transmitters (barring FCC interference, of course). Actually, if all AM stations did that, then both conservative AND liberal talk radio would benefit from the increased listenership.

And if his argument is that this would be too costly for AM to implement, then what would be the point of regulating them with the Fairness Doctrine, since they wouldn’t be in a position to compete financially?

  8. Conservative Canadian in MA says:

I heard you on the Laura Ingraham show on Monday while driving down from New Brunswick through Maine. You were great! I don’t think there are any radio stations that carry your show locally, however with my job there is a chance i may here you while driving through New England and Upper NY State.

I joined Heritage a few weeks ago. Not all Canadians are socialist!!

  9. CNYTammyFan says:

It’s clear that talkers from the Left like Press and others don’t get the free market. Libs don’t sell on Radio its that simple. Now they want to force themselfs on us. To Hell with them. As for Sarah Palin, I guaranty the “anonymous legislator” was a Republican. She scare’s the power brokers on both sides which is one of the reasons I like her. I’m ready for the Tea Party
and will gladly stand with you all and Rick Santelli and have at it. In the words of Todd Beamer “Let’s Roll”

  10. Fox says:

CNBC poll appears to be missing. Not surprizing. They wouldn’t want ordinary citizens to see that a LOT of people actually agree with him.

  11. Fox says:

BTW, be sure to go to http://www.reteaparty.com to sign up for the event. I’m not sure if Mr. Santelli is actually endorsing this but I’d do it anyway.

  12. CinderellaMan says:

It’s getting hard to focus on what are the worst aspects of the “RECOVERY” package.

Here are the two which upset me the most, although in general I believe the legislation is the worst possible thing that could happen:

    http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/feb/11/gop-finds-pelosi-pork-stimulus-deal/

    http://michellemalkin.com/2008/09/25/kill-the-bailout-more-acorn-funding/

  13. CinderellaMan says:

By the way, did anyone actually read the “Recovery” bill? Did you happen to notice that Obama already reneged on his campaign promise to reduce taxes for those making under 250K. It’s now 75K for singles and 150K for joint filing. Read it, it’s in there. SMALL BUSINESSES ARE GOING TO GET HAMMERED!

  14. Lamplighter says:

Concerning “Barky wants to create a New Orleans in every state of the Union” I find another contradiction for Barkey in his Urban initiative.

“Vibrant cities spawn innovation, economic growth, and cultural enrichment through the businesses, universities, and civic, cultural, RELIGIOUS, and nonprofit institutions they attract”.

Yet, the “stimulus” package specifically prohibits any money going to religious or private schools. Imagine what stimulus dollars could do for the school voucher program, a program—-where it is available—-that most minorities want, and makes public schools more COMPETETIVE.

Yes, I’ve learned from reading “Atlas Shrugged” recently that the left is intimidated by competition, and I’m very much aware of the Ayn Rand axiom: “Contradictions don’t exist. Check your premises. One of them may be wrong”.

It’s just interesting to see it happening in the real world.

  15. bernie tenney says:

    Office of Urban affairs?
Why don’t we leave that up to the Cities. After all following Katrina and the recent Power outages in Kentucky the lack of a Federal response tells me, look out for yourself the Authorities can only collect the evidence of your demise, It’s up to you to prevent it.

  16. Kimj7157 says:

From Wash Post article on Palin: “The lists of her doings and not doings include a growing leeriness of the media — she declined requests for an interview for this article –as she pursues an aggressive strategy on the national political front.”

So, she is “leery” and chooses not to be interviewed by a liberally biased, hostile paper. This is a negative thing?? Sounds like sound judgement to me. “Republican ally” my arse.
I’m with PALIN2012: “If you say something – own it or shut the hell up!” Dishonest, pathetic cowards.
