These appointees seem to fit into the image of the president himself. Hidden agenda, four-flushers, three-card monty dealers, slight of hand experts, a team of phonies from the top down.
But, don’t worry about the image of America overseas. As a matter of fact, don’t worry about the image here either. Tell me this country cares beyond the quick fix.
We threw out ethics when the term became a political witch-hunting tool.
When someone buys fraudulent art, they’ll go to any lengths to prove it’s real.
Well, the country bought a pig-in-a-poke as goleden fleece and now afraid to admit it’s being fleeced.

    Clueless.

Barkey probably DIDN’T EVEN READ the damn bill, just like he didn’t read the “stimulus bill,” so I bet he didn’t even know the embryo research amendment was in it.

Actually, Obama can’t do anything about the Dickey-Wicker amendment, only Congress. Basking in the glow of false impressions yet again, Obama runs for the hills when it comes to tackling the thorniest part of the issue.

On Maxine Waters… why is this not an impeachable offense? I work for government, and if I were found implicated in something like this while negotiating a contract or facilitating a meeting relative to fiduciary responsibilities, I would be fired.
Why do our elected legislators… you know, the people WHO MAKE THE LAWS… get away with this.

Never mind the fact that Maxine is as dumb as a brick. Really.

  5. Robert Graham says:

Cinderellman has an excellent point. Now perhaps the good people of California act on that. The ball is in your court, not mine or anyone elses. The 35th district must initiate the process to remove an elected Congress person. You are her boss. If you decide it is too much to persue, then you are basically giving in and creating an opportunity for more under handed legislation.

I am no government authority, however the only entity outside of the 35th district that could begin a process of impeachnent would be the US Attorney General’s office who basically answers to the Executive branch of the government, namely President Barack Obama. I’m not defending him, however he might do the right thing.

This conservative knows he is a one term only President and he will probably become the most useless, lame duck President in history in two years. However, he is not really a person of bad character. I say that because we have to be realistic. If anyhting, he just might be intelligent enough to see that what Ms. Waters has done is crinimal, and since she is an African American, he would be more furious about her actions. And for him to actually do something would be an act of righteousness. Therefore, I suggest you do what Americans do, begin the process and by all means hit Obama hard with what actually happened. Don’t let the liberals get away with it. Do not bury your head in the sand. This is what makes America work even with liberals at the forefront

The really incredible thing about Maxine Waters, is how little respect she has for her constituents, and how they keep electing her by large majoritys.
This is not the first time that she has been involved with activities that are beneficial to her and members of her family.
I agree she should be impeached, but then again that would be racial, wouldn’t it?
We do live in interesting times.

  7. Shawmut says:

Sean, you have it. “The really incredible thing about Maxine Waters, is how little respect she has for her constituents, and how they keep electing her by large majoritys.”
Too bad for the sensitive, but the basis for Waters is the same as most of the vorte was for Obama.
When he is not re-elected they will share the same excuse which you cite “I agree she should be impeached, but then again that would be racial, wouldn’t it?”
And does anyone think that the black loby is not ready to indict the whole country for racism?
After all, the Attorney General has already launched his campaign against “Cowards”.
