Thought you might find the attached video interesting. These are British reporters giving live commentary on the arrival of the heads of state at the G20 conference. In the first part of the video they are talking about a shift of power vis-a-vis the IMF. Britain might have to ask for funds and the Saudis may put up the loot. That’s a bad power shift. That’s the serious part.

The amusing part starts around the 2:28 mark. One commentator makes a typically British observation about pointing malarkey. Typically when greeting his guests, Gordon Brown, the host, points in one direction, let’s go this way, and the head of state he is with points in another direction. For one thing they both have their own audience. For another, the guest has to let it be known I’m as equally in charge as you are. The commentator elaborates about Obama visiting Downing Street, putting his arm around Gordon Brown and leading the Prime Minister around his own house. He said he hasn’t seen anyone do that since Clinton with Tony Blair. The last line is the best. Have a listen.

People are noticing.

    Thank You-in Russian, is pronounced:

    spa-see’-bah not spa-see-bow… it’s an unstressed “o”, which sounds like ‘ah”. think, October… etc…

Maybe the state dept and president should consult with their military linguists who never would have “overcharged” for their services and would have gotten it correct.
    No more Jelly Donuts!!!

    …former USAF Russian Linguist…

Flashback 2007: Bushes meet the Her Majesty, the Queen
    http://georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/ask/20070508.html

President and Mrs. Bush gave Her Majesty a bronze statuette “High Desert Princess” with a personal inscription on the bottom of the base. It is a replica of the original life size statue that is located in front of the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame in Ft. Worth, Texas.

President and Mrs. Bush gave The Prince Philip an exclusive sterling silver eagle box by Tiffany & Co. with personal inscription on the inside lid.

President and Mrs. Bush gave Their Majesties a leather presentation box filled with a collection of documents from the National Archives. One of the items was a copy of an original letter from President Roosevelt to her father, King George, written in 1938. There were also photos from previous royal visits and a DVD of the footage from the Queen’s visit to the United States when she was Princess Elizabeth in 1951.

2009: Urkels meet that Queen person or whoever she is

Urkel gives her something you’d give a 11 year old for their birthday: an iPod, but worse, filled with videos of HIMSELF.

Now kids.. which one is trash? I’m waiting on the news of Urkel’s gift to Germany’s president being a DVD or Schindler’s List or something.

I suspect that iPod is in the same trash bin those 25 Region 1 DVDs are in….

I wish they could have found an adult to accompany them on this second world tour.
    (“Them” the Obama couple).
What’s more sickening; them, or those American who lack the guts to admit they made a mistake?
I believe, even the world leaders now see him only as a symptom of our problems, hardly a leader.
After all, they can call Soros directly if they ‘have to’.

Not only does Hillary Clinto wave at imaginary people, she wields imaginary power, now that the Russians, Iranians and North Koreans have her number. And I don’t mean the sex line.
