Just my opinion on the Letterman comments, but it sounded like he was trying to make jokes about Bristol, but since Willow was at the game with her mother, she became the unintended target. Either way, no matter who they were aimed at, Letterman should be held to the same standard that Imus was held to, as well as David Shuster (he was the MSNBC reporter who said during the 2008 campaign that the Clintons were pimping out Chelsea, and ended up getting suspended) and Laura Ingraham (who made the plus-size comment about Meghan McCain and was attacked by the media).
I know this will be overshadowed by the Holocaust Museum shooting, which is a terrible tragedy, but the Islamists on Flight 447 is a HUGE story that should be covered. We’re talking about 228 human beings dead with no explanation yet. If it was foul play, especially Islamic terrorism, the world needs to know.
“Confident Off-Duty Chic”? Huh? What?
It looks like even the world’s Obamatrons will do and say any-thing to make these two into the new Jackie and Jack.
So like that little kid in that fairy tale about being truthful said, “Hey! Look! The emperor has no clothes.”
NO!! It’s not “Confident Off-Duty Chic.” It’s the I-don’t-give-a-damn;-I’m-dressing-like-a-bad-lady chic.
There! I said it.
Letterman’s a pig. I stopped watching him when turned into a sneering, bitter disgruntled whiner after Leno got the Tonight Show instead of him. Angry, rich and famous people are a bore. When things don’t go their way, they go “left”, “Notice me, notice me!” because someone must be to blame other than themselves.
His talent to joke is still under his anger, so he can glide along and moan in a barely noticeable way much of the time. The obscene way he treated the Governor and her 14 year old daughter is unforgivable.
Don’t watch his show, people, and tell your friends not to watch.
Just saw Letterman’s insulting apology. He is now whining that he would never condone statutorily rape of an underage 14 year old. He was just fooling around with a joke that Palin’s eldest daughter, a single 18 year old mother with a baby, is a whore. Oh I understand Dave , you’re the man ! Adding insult, he now wants Sarah Palin to come on his show. Forget Sarah coming on his show, get in the boxing ring with Todd Palin on pay-per-view — I’d love to see a real man punch Letterman silly! That would garner BIG BUCKS and huge ratings for charity…LOL (Note: no women’s groups have said a word)
