The USS John McCain
Irony of the Day: The USS John MCCain set to intercept NoKo vessel shipping missile and nuke parts. U.S. Military Set to Intercept North Korean Ship Suspected of Proliferating Missiles, Nukes.
It is only due to the vigilance of Presidents Reagan and Bush that we are able to do this. U.S. Fortifies Hawaii to Meet Threat From Korea
California unemployment rises to 11.5% in May
Your Tea Party inspiration for the day:
NIH Funds $423,500 Study of Why Men Don’t Like to Use Condoms
Not to detract from the irony, but for the record USS John McCain is named for Senator McCain’s father and grandfather, both admirals, and not for him.
Regarding the need for Google Earth to re-image portions of Iran… I’m certain we can task a RPV (remotely piloted vehicle/predator) to image any area of the world we need. There are also intelligence satellites that are already tasked with imaging that area of the world, on a daily basis. Who needs google?
With all due respect, let’s not get too excited over what Obama’s former physician had to say against Obama’s healthcare plans. Dr. Scheiner, though correct in pointing out what was wrong in the policy, also seems to agree w/ Obama’s policy:
“…Scheiner thinks that a good health reform would be “Medicare for all,” a single-payer system where the government would cover everyone and pay for it by cutting out waste in the system. “A neurosurgeon gets paid $20,000 for cutting into the neck of my patient. Have him get paid $1 million a year instead of $2 million or $3 million. He won’t starve,” Scheiner says…”
The first few paragraphs were gold, but the thick of the article makes it clear this doctor does not think Obama’s plan goes far enough. Drudge’s post on this was rather deceptive.
Can anyone imagine the last great Democrat, JFK, backing down to Kim Jong Il, and not boarding this vessel?
Can anyone imagine Barack Hussein Obama continuing to believe he can negotiate with radical rogue nations?
