Let’s make karma a bitch, shall we?

Scum dog torturer and murderer Michael Vick was released from federal custody this morning and it’s important to never forget what this piece of human refuse has done. I mention this because Vick is going to start lobbying for a football career comeback. It’s important to send a message to everyone who would hurt the voiceless that the repercussions of doing so are lifelong and you will not be forgiven. We know of the link between serial killers and killing defenseless animals; we also know of the sort of depravity it takes to torture a creature that can’t even say “no.”

Enough is enough. Look, football clubs can do as they please, and so can we we. Go ahead and hire Michael Vick and we’ll make sure everyone who cares about animals knows what that means about that football club.

Former NFL Star Michael Vick Released From Federal Custody

Suspended NFL star Michael Vick’s federal dogfighting sentence ended Monday, freeing him to lobby for a return to the field…Freedom will allow Vick to step up his efforts to resume his pro football career. Vick hopes to soon meet with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, who has said he would review Vick’s status after Vick completed his sentence…

“The review of his status is ongoing,” league spokesman Greg Aiello said Monday. “There are no further details and no timetable…Michael did an egregious thing,” Goodell told The Associated Press in April. “He has paid a very significant price for that.”

He said people are forgiving when someone who has done wrong shows remorse and is prepared to live a different life.

“That’s something he has to prove to myself and the general public,” Goodell said.

Vick, 29, did not initially show enough remorse to satisfy U.S. District Judge Henry Hudson. Vick apologized in court in 2007, but Hudson denied him an “acceptance of responsibility” credit that could have reduced his sentence. He sentenced Vick to 23 months in prison, more than any of Vick’s three co-defendants.

I always thought the appropriate sentence would have been to do to Vick exactly what he did to those poor dogs. In his case, man’s best friend learned that man was the Devil in disguise. What a travesty. I hope everyone will let whoever does business with this evil criminal know that their choices have consequences indefinitely, just like those dogs are scarred or dead, indefinitely. Some things simply cannot be forgiven.

Love the cartoon of the dogs in the jury!
    Priceless.

Virginia could probably still file charges as well, though for some inexplicable reason I remember the local Commonwealth’s Attorney saying they wouldn’t.
