hippyHey TAMs, after I posted the first netcast we got lots of comments here on the blog as well as lots of emails with other comments and questions for The Palin Democrat (TPD). So I thought, hey, what better way to have TPD answer all those questions than with a Special Report Podcast? So here we are. Many of those emails also asked about food that will help with breast health, so in honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, TPD gives us some pointers and insight on the issue. This Special Media Podcast for TAMs is about 25 minutes long. Please visit the TAM Podcasts subpage for your exclusive media 🙂

If you aren’t a Tammy Army member, please join us! The moment you do you will have immediate access to this special media, netcasts and Tammy Radio podcasts as well.

Thank you for that unexpected surprise, a Friday night special. I appreciated all the health tips. Professional and entertaining.

There’s something fundamentally appealing about the offerings of food. It’s multiculturalism in the most positive sense: Here, we have good stuff to offer, it’s good to share. As opposed to political multiculturalism, screamed out by angry narcissists spewing their pain and darkness into the world.

Back to food…There are enough nutritional supplements out there to make your head spin. More pills than you can eat! Of course, the first rule is to eat the right food in the first place. But lately I’ve been taking this DHA supplement, because we really do need the Omega-3 fatty acids, and we probably don’t get enough unless we’re eating fish regularly.

Anyway, this is a great podcast, and the kind of useful and pleasant escapism we need more of.

At 12:00 eastern time (11:00 my time central time), I turned on Fox News weekend show, called Fox News HQ, with –, They led with the news that 0bama has declared the “swine” flu a “national emergency”. They switched to talking about Afghanistan, and they have been talking about that ever since. Here’s the link, it 21 minutes ago, http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091024/ap_on_go_pr_wh/us_obama_swine_flu . I went to Drudge to see if it was the lead story, but it isn’t at this moment (its at the top in red). when I linked to the (yahoo)page at 11:oo (here where I live), it says “21 minutes ago”. I’ll send you more links on this, but I would like to ask this: How many Americans (Soldiers) have died in Afghanistan (this year), and how many Americans have died of “Swine Flu” here Statewide (this year)? I wonder whether there are more combat deaths in Afghanistan (this year) than there are deaths from “Swine Flu” here in America.

They’re STILL talking about it. Geez louise man…can’t these people get their priorities straight already? Answer. No.

Thanks Tammy and PD for the healthy treat!

Tammy, you were correct about the mcg. “400 mcg” is 400 micrograms. One microgram is 1/1000 of a milligram (mg), so 400 mcg is 0.4 mg, a little less than half of a milligram.

You two make a great comedy team in the spirit of Laurel & Hardy or Abbott & Costello. From my time growing up, it’s reminiscent of Conway & Korman; except TPD is more like Vicki Lawrence because she’s better at controlling her laughter.
I like the subject of health and nutrition, especially as alternative to pharmaceuticals, and wouldn’t mind hearing and seeing more. For the next one, I like your idea of a drink mixing tutorial. I get the impression that’s more your expertise than PD’s (not implying that you use it as pharmaceutical), but I hope she will still participate to play the straight part, plus Sydney just because she’s a natural. Oh, and if you do it before Halloween, costumes need to be involved.

You two! Even without Sydney, a delightful way to start the weekend! If the Palin Democrat will oblige, please consider making these Special Reports a weekly segment for TAM. Don’t make us beg. :0)
