The CEO of CIGNA, a giant in the health insurance industry, says it is wishful thinking that costs and premiums will go down as a result of the healthcare legislation. The legislation will actually drive costs higher.

No sir, it is very carefully calculated thinking. If this abomination sticks, the insurance companies will ultimately be broken and close shop.

Plan B for the insurance industry is to be promoters of good health. Good advice for us too—don’t get sick.

so basically you a-holes in the bigger companies are going to watch all the smaller companies drown in this sewer of a bill, make a lot of money off of the forced servitude to you of americans for a few years, then, what, get jobs at burger king once private health insurance is no longer exists and is made illegal? all it took was that individual mandate for a few years for the insurance industry to sign off and give barry a tongue bath on this mess?

oh, i get it bwarry will hire you to run obamacare, then… wow ,i thought all was lost.

    selfish stupid tools. hapless pawns.

oh and i should add in MA with the mandate now the smaller companies have been driven out, lobbied for inclusions in the mandated coverage has helped drive costs up and they still complain that people are ‘ gaming the system’ when they refuse to buy insurance and pay the cheaper fine. people who had insurance they wanted and could afford have been made criminals because their product didnt include coverage for things the insurance industry and the state think we have to buy.

who is really gaming the system- for failure?

Hey kids, great news! We’re on the road to giving everyone a health care card! Hey, wait a minute, where’d all the doctors go?

Oh, you mean we can’t force doctors to stay doctors?? DAMMIT!! 😛

But I thought health care was a right! So not only do we have to pay for that right, we have to HOPE a doctor will even see us?

          hope? here’s the change-
          PA’s and NP’s are who you’ll see.
obama death care is as exactly as predicted- great as long as you are basically well.
god help you if you ever get really sick.

You nailed it! Physicians assistants, and a flood of foreign “doctors” with degrees from “The Massachussets School of Most Excellent Physicians” located in Velechez Venezuela will handle everything up to “minor” surgeries. Nurse Practioners will inherit Obstetrics and gynacolgy, Licenced practical nurses will be upgraded to administering meds, shots and other duties. Orderlies will dress wounds, etc. The skill set will down-shift through the gearbox, and costs courtesy of the unionized labor force will continue to rise. U.K. here we come. Sit on an abulance for 6 hours, waiting to get to your “guaranteed no more than four hour wait”. If you want to live long, and croak quickly, learn all about healthy living, and rely on yourself for minor stuff.
