The Ugly American over at SondraK provides tonight’s (and forever’s) theme song.

I hope everyone gets a good night’s sleep because we’ve got a lot of work to do. Roll up those sleeves Patriots, and keep that powder dry. And those Republicans? They better have a damn plan.

The Republicans have a plan? I doubt it. I’m all for changing a few things about the way Congress works, however. Remember your basic math and how sets operate? Remember the operator called intersection… which says that the intersection of two sets is the set of those elements found in each of the two sets. So from now on, both D’s and R’s can write their own version of the legislation without consulting each other. They then get to vote on the intersection of the two. If it’s not in both, it is out of the legislation they vote on. It will also use the more conservative number… examples: one bill allocated $5 billion the other allocates $2 billion, so the intersection of that is to allocate $2 billion; one says cut 10%, the other says cut 5%, so the intersection is to cut 5%.

Hey c’mon, everyone. Remember what the ProtestWarrior says:
Communism has only killed 100 million people. Let’s give another chance.

Today’s events in DC are so heart-breaking that only a little dark humor will do for me. It’s time to rest-up for we’ll need all the strength we can gather. Tomorrow we “roll up [our] sleeves,” as Tammy said, and get to work and throw the bastards out!

I just thought of something very frightening. Since the government is now in charge of health care, coverage would include care for the mentally ill, no?

What’s gonna happen to those who, for whatever reason, voice opposition to the government?

Will dissidents then be deemed mentally ill by the government and institutionalized?

    G-d help us!

    thoughts that floated up
    1) comedian’s line: What do they teach in Business Schools these days? How to make a killing when you’re Red*?

*Red Commie, not Red State which is now saddled on the Republicans instead of the natural fit Democrats. Gee, guess a joke ain’t funny when it needs a paragraph of background.

    2) Maxine Waters’ dreams of a new Civil War, one where her side, the drooling nationalizing party, wins. ‘Finally, they get me for the Queen I am!’ (and “piss off Nancy, it was all my idea anyways”)

    3) there was a third musing, really, but it slipped away, just as easily as did Old Capitalist America. Who knew those people — CEOs, COOs, etc, etc — were just not serious?

    4) Ah well, Soicalism is always a hotbed for organized crime, our new growth industry. Find a need and fill it, I guess. I know, let’s legalize casinos across the entire land.

    5) Oh yeah, here’s the third: White House aide to White House aide, after bringing in the morning’s mail that contained the box with Hillary’s head, “Guess the Chinese were serious about getting paid back for all those loans we dumped into sub-prime. They said they are not fooled by our socializing medicine and the student loan biz — they say they take care of 350 million citizens before breakfast.”

[oops, edit deadline kicks you even while editting.] So,
ps. video for the day, fit it into your musings as you will. Trust me, it’s worth it, if only to get into Waters and Pelosi’s heads. Maybe Michelle, too.

Feeling Melancholy, Baby. I would not get my hopes up on republicans having a counter plan. That’s why we are fighting to get conservatives in there to take their place. I can just see it now, Miss Lindsay & Juan McCain & their fellow RINOs holding hands with comrade Pelosi saying ‘ They did it fair & square now we must work together in getting amnesty through so all Gods children can have health care’

Just not feeling very optimistic right at this moment.~teri

    2 Chronicles 7:14
if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Since it doesn’t even take effect until 2014, we still have time to fix it. I know, it seems to be easier to pass a bad law than to repeal it afterward, but, it can be done.

The USA has survived a Revolutionary War, a Civil War, 2 World Wars, 4 Presidential assasinations, 4 years of Jimmy Carter, and 8 years of Bill Clinton. It’ll survive this.
