Yes, I was able to get into the chatroom, and my initial difficulty was totally my fault. I am embarrassed to say what happened, but here goes: when I usually click on “members,” I get a link to the chatroom. Today, though, there was the TAMS pets thread instead. I finally realized that the chatroom link was BELOW the pets thread. (major blush) (and thanks to hatter83’s response)

Security error! Make sure you have port 8008 open (firewall). If you are the server administrator, read http://www.lightirc.com/faq.html#security for information. This is most likely a server problem. You tried to connect to 209.160.32.108:8080
Having trouble with the CHAT room as well.
