    About the “Cajones” thing…

Tammy observes the usual double standard. “They” call “us” every filthy name in the book…racist, fill-in-the-blank-a-phobe, paid shill, selfish, uncaring, whatever. But it’s out of bounds if a conservative ever suggests there’s anything wrong with anyone on the Left other than being mildly misguided. How did the framework of the debate get such unbalanced rules?

Speaking for myself — and I wouldn’t bother to say this, except I think it’s pretty typical on our side — is that, yeah, I get uncomfortable saying those things. I’m not defending this tendency; I’m just observing that it’s an impediment, and I’m not sure how to deal with it. Tammy has described how the Left strategizes to use our inclinations against us. How to resist our natural self-defeating inclinations? I’m thinking of a scene in the “Babe” movie in which a sheepdog tries to instruct Babe how to herd sheep. “When a sheep gets out of line, take a nip out of his leg,” the dog urges. But it goes against the grain.

    About the “TamCam” thing…

I remember how, in ancient times, the radio station where Tammy worked tried to set up a HostCam. This made Tammy uncomfortable. First she covered it up. Then she tried putting a picture of a cat in front of the camera, with a hole for the camera to look through. That lasted about 2 minutes before she decided it didn’t help. She ended up leaving the camera covered, except every now and then she’d uncover it, with much fanfare, for a few seconds. So I’m surprised to hear her talk about maybe opening up a premium TamCam. I’ll believe it when I see it.

Maynard, you know me too well 🙂 For my TAM Cam, if I do it, I’ll at least be in control (not that I have *that* issue!) when it comes to the shot itself. When it was an issue before I had no say. Now I do! The joys of Commando!

I’m not a fan of studio cams.
But in your case, it might be better than anything on TV!
