Watching A Charlie Brown Christmas during its annual broadcast has become something of an American ritual. It airs this year on ABC on December 7th (Tuesday, or tomorrow as I write this!) and 16th. Check local listings; you’ll probably find it at 8 PM.
For a reminder of the special meaning of this particular show, click to Chuck Colson’s comment, “The True Meaning of Christmas”.

Thanx for the reminder. I love Charlie Brown Christmas music. I will DVR this show and save it for X-mas with family.
Thanks for the link to Colson’s article. Isn’t it amazing that in just 45 years we’ve gone from a cartoon in which a main character recites from the Gospel of Luke to a time when you never hear the word “Christmas” in any television commercial or “Christmas” special because God forbid that you call attention to what Christmas is really all about.

Yes, Legs, I did see Barry Lyndon. It’s absolutely brilliant. I came away, for a moment, in awe of the glorious heights that Man is capable of ascending to in the arts and sciences.
Then I went home and sank back to reality. But I hope, with occasional reminders such as this, that I won’t entirely forget our divine spark.
I don’t know if it’s appropriate for me to post announcements like that in Tammy’s blog. It’s not of general interest. But, darnit, this is the stuff I’d rather be posting and discussing. I figure I can get away with a certain amount of indulgence. And a few people seem to appreciate it.
