Interesting update. Was especially reminded of the importance of a leader knowing how to get a message through, especially when the political machine had other ideas. Reagan was able to reach the “ordinary American” directly. In reading Theodore Roosevelt’s autobiography you see he also knew how to do this to push his agenda. While he was quite content to “follow the rules” to his advantage, he was up against some very powerful people who did not like the waves he could make. He says quite plainly, that he understood he could bring his message to the ppl and get them on his side. I think Sarah Palin has a similar situation. While she is a registered Republican, and can work within the system, she sees that she also has the ability to reach out directly to folks with her message. IMO it takes a person who knows exactly who they are with a clear vision of what they want to accomplish to pull it off. Roosevelt and Reagan had that quality, and Sarah does too. It would also explain why the establishment is so worried about her. They sense that if need be, she will go off on her own, unfiltered and unfettered to accomplish her goals. If they saw her TV series they have seen a woman not boxed in by a “comfort zone”. She eyes up a situation, calculates what it will take and then says , why not. She has mastered the very human fear of failing. That is not an easy task. so often we are afraid to take the next step because we become consumed about what happens if we fail. Sarah seems to understand that that fear should not be given more credit than it deserves. She recognizes that even our failures teach us important lessons, and rather than holding us back, can inspire us to do even better. The looney left has played havoc with our country in part because decent conservatives often fail to move outside their comfort zone and push back. I saw that first hand in the 1970s & 80s on the abortion issue. Simply couldn’t get folks to realize how the left was playing on that. Today, after the events of the past 2 years, I am hopeful that the lesson is beginning to be learned. Good and decent folks who do love America are truly worried about the direction the country is going, and starting to “get their backs up”. Sarah Palin senses that too IMO, and folks are realizing they can trust her political instincts. Even with the blood lust of the left to destroy her, there she stands. And when Sarah speaks, everyone is listening.

It’s a very simple. Politicians and leaders today (especially the Bamster) have zero integrity. When you have no integrity, then you rely on polls. When you rely on polls…anything goes.
Sarah isn’t wired that way. Sarah has integrity.
People of integrity ‘expect to be believed’….and when they are not….they let time prove them right. (death panels….he-e-e-l-l-l-o-o-o)
