FWIW, that’s a Sparrow surface-to-air missile, not a Tomahawk (which is much larger).

    • Tammy says:

Oops. Thanks for the education 🙂 I’ll go change that right now.

      • Southrider says:

Thanks ma’am. It tells a different story. One would indicate our ship was defending itself from an attack from the air, the other indicates we’re attacking Libya.

      • ecu22331963 says:

It’s odd that the neither House Armed Forces Committee nor Congress was consulted before military action commenced.

Now Fox News is putting the spearhead of this operation on both Hilary Clinton and Susan Rice, I smell an Obama set-up. No Representative oversight, no authorization for the expenditures, and no outlined plan except to follow the UN.

No battle is ever won from the air alone, boots on the ground is key.

Tammy, please burn up that microphone today with not only Palin but an Obama commentary as well.

This is piss poor leadership at best !

It’s easy to mistake one weapon system for another, Tammy, when they can all kinda look alike, and especially when you don’t deal with that stuff much. Just for future reference, here’s link to a picture of Tomahawk missile.

  3. wastubbs says:

Many problems with picture, but my concern is why are we shooting them at all, at LIBYA.

I just thought of something. If Palin refuses to run, I support Carly Fiorina for the Republican nomination. Carly has much more command presence than Bachmann. I like Bachmann as a legislator, but not an executive.
Carly has a liberal past like Bachmann, and dear I say Tammy, but I believe she is sincere. Palin is my first choice, but Carly is my second. There are no men waiting in the wings.

Just finished listening to the Weekend Update.

Alot of ‘hot topics’ were covered: Libya, Japan, Palin, Biden, Knut the Bear, the Dumb Bastard in Rio, etc.

But what caught my attention, made me say ‘wow’ out loud and caused my mind to explode was Tammy’s profound observation from ~45:10 to ~46:10. (I wrote the times down, because I listened to it twice). Thanks for articulating the ‘inner-converstation’ I’ve had lately. But I didn’t know I gave Tammy permission to read my mind; reminder to self: read the Subscriber Privacy Notice again. LOL!

    • ShArKy666 says:

yeh…tammy reads my mind almost all the time. the first person i’ve ever found that does that..it’s kinda scarey…maybe it’s one of her unspoken talents 🙂 lol

  6. jimmer says:

Thanks for the weekend update! My only frustration was I do like Glenn Beck. Going to find the rest of the Graham interview. Interested to know how he answered. Otherwise spot on Tammy! 🙂

  7. ShArKy666 says:

i like beck too, although i don’t always agree with him, and i totally understand tammy’s skepticism of him…underneath it all, i think he’s a good person, and i understand his message and that it comes from a certain rational perspective about what he believes to be god & our founders…i did find it funny how tammy made a rather fast detour at that moment in the audio tape..haha…what’s AMAZED me about that liar biden..is like…his son is in the miltary ..someone who’s sworn to protect & defend the constitution, yet he’s out there promoting this philosophy of statism, that totally tramples all over it..i mean how does a guy like that live with himself or get to sleep at nite?..it’s really disgusting.

  8. Ginger says:

Thanks for the week-end update, Tammy. The discussion of Franklin Graham and his remarks was interesting. I thought he handled the interview well.

(Mark 13:32 KJV) “But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. ”

I too worry about Palin a lot regarding her safety, but then again, all that worrying won’t get us anywhere. She’s in God’s hands like all the rest of us!

in the meantime, Obama parties on…

    • Kimj7157 says:

Thanks for quoting the scripture. I thought of that today while listening to the podcast. I appreciated Franklin Grahams demeanor and comments as well. And I love it when Tammy remarks about things of the spirit. Always thoughtful and genuine in her approach and desire for understanding.

      • Artgal says:

Agreed, Ginger. The Palins are indeed in God’s hands, and we know the Palins believe that greatly as well. Notice this family has total faith – that’s what makes them fearless in the face of adversity – and that’s why the leftists fear Sarah Palin!

I like that Tammy brought up what Franklin Graham said, too, and the manner in which he handled the question was very thoughtful and true to his beliefs. It’s not pleasant to think of end-times prophecy, but from the time Christ ascended to Heaven, humanity has been on the march toward the end times.

I love these sorts of discussions, but I am going to refer to one section of the Bible for now where Jesus was asked by his disciples how they would know the end times. He told them in Matthew 24:3-15 and I’ll share below:

“And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.
And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
And this gospel of the kingdon shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth let him understand). ”

One of the key elements in prophecy is that in end times, the book of Daniel would be revealed – or understood. It is understood now! The reason is due to much of prophecy already being fulfilled providing a greater window into Daniel’s writings – that, too, is part of prophecy.

Another fact of end times prophecy is the world would be such that all nations would have the gospel preached in it somewhere and sometime. Every nation on earth has been introduced to the gospel be it through missionaries, tv, radio, internet, the underground churches under tyrannical regimes – this has been fulfilled…

‘And then shall come the end.’

When the end will come is anyone’s guess and that’s Graham’s point. We don’t know! The Bible says no one – not even Christ – knows; only God the Father. It could be in 10 minutes, 100 years, or a thousand. What we do know is that the time is ripe as much of prophecy has been fulfilled, but the time is on God’s watch – not ours ; )

In case anyone wonders where our taxpayer money goes for the awesome US Navy.

Ten minutes of her and those like her off the coast of Somalia would quickly solve the pirate problem.

It’s so cool we have actual military in our army, thank you for your service. Beck is a good guy he just is going at this from a different angle, been listening to him for a long time. He can be a downer and is very intense at times but he’s not lying. Tammy you flicked my ear today and reminded me to read the whole story not just the headline, thank you. My mom used to do that to me in the grocery store when she wanted me to stop doing something I wasn’t supposed to be doing. I have heard “give me your money christians” and it shocked me I was hearing the end of the world stuff from Franklin Graham but you never know do you. My son said something about the end of the world this morning because our pres is doing the new bombing and I had to reasure him we will never know and if it happens and if it does it’s a good thing for Christians. I know that sounds weird but if you feel fear at thought of it you can change that, he gives you the choice. God doesn’t punish or hate, he’s the complete opposite. Anyway, isn’t it weird the left is turning into their version of us, very weird.
