The MOST important part of the 3rd hour: 😉

    Home-style Grilled Cheese Sandwich receipe:

    1) two texas toast size pieces of sourdough bread
    2) cheese? american/cheddar/swiss/monterey jack.(your choice)
    3) sliced tomatoes OR smear of mustard w/sweet pickle chips(2 or 3)
    4) assemble
    5) butter 1 side
    6) put in medium heat pre-heated skillet, get 1 side toasted, butter the plain side, flip
    7) get edges of the cheese crispy as they melt.
    8) serve with tomato soup

    Enjoy!

Tammy, regarding Gov.Jan Brewers shying away from the questions about Obama’s birth certificate, I’m wondering if someone has gotten to her. Back away from this or else. The establishment has very long arms and the power to do ANYTHING!

I never post about the third hour. I worked out from 6:40am to 7:30am. In the office at 8:15am. Warmed up my eggs-spinach-chicken sausage-Ezekiel bread breakfast. I am listening to Tammy talk about grilled cheese samdwiches on the 3rd hour podcast, which IS IMPORTANT.
Definitely the tomato, Tammy. Even BACON – oh yeah!
You need to get a Jersey Diner grilled cheese sandwich.
Next time you are in NYC you HAVE TO drive through the Lincoln Tunnel to the world famous Tick-Tock Diner in Clifton NJ.
–> Grilled Cheese Sandwich, American or Swiss, add Tomato, Add Bacon all for HALF the $11 you were charged 😀
[link redacted, sorry, perhaps for the TAMWIre?]
    That is all.

Gov. Brewer’s response was embarrassing, to say the least, when it came to being asked if the birther talk was directed toward the president being black. She should have just shaken her head and said, ‘John, really?’ and taken it from there. She knows better! Some of her other responses were also cringe worthy. Having said that, I am not entirely opposed to how she views the birther debate overall. I’m sick of it! We have pressing matters we can take Obama on; why this?

I understand why people discuss the matter and that Obama is the one who has kept this issue alive; however, that one item can be destructive in terms of becoming the central issue when the reality is we’re not going to get (truthful) answers – not while Obama is in office anyway. Darrell Issa is in no hurry to investigate. On anything. The turning point for me may very well be when Jerome Corsi’s book comes out, and I am genuinely interested in what he has to say as he indeed investigates – something Issa will never do.

As far as the discussion itself: it is not as though the birther debate has not been out there; it has been – for 3 years now. Nothing new has emerged (Corsi book pending, of course); yet, the momentum builds. If we’re concerned about The Establishment (meaning both major parties), then look for them to make the birther thing stay the course if it means hurting tea party. Oh, they’ll sound as though they want the issue to die, but they don’t. That’s why you don’t see Obama’s certificate. Let the frenzy reach a fever pitch, then unveil the certificate to the world making lots of people (with good intentions) look foolish – and it will all be attached to tea party. It already is. Hey, there’s a reason Trump jumped into it.

As for Arizona on this debate: The birther bill has become a very, very, VERY heated conversation – almost the highest priority to many in the state, and obviously, to many all over the country.

When the bill initially went in the state house and passed, the conversation was elevated that much more. My own assessment is that some GOP reps wanted to be on record voting for it in order to satisfy constituents, but were not entirely sincere in their ‘support’. It may explain why the language changed in the bills by the time they crossed Brewer’s desk making them impossible not to veto. So now Brewer gets to take the heat while many in the state house are being looked upon as heroes.

Imagine that – some (certainly not all) state reps and senators passing bills to placate voters while also having a final version worded so it would have to be vetoed in the end. IMHO, Brewer presented a challenge to AZ legislators when she said there was enough support to override her vetoes. So, let them do it! Let them show how sincere they are! My understanding is they are not going to override her veto. Go figure. I’m sure I’ll get more info at the next legislator beer summit.

Oh, and about distractions: how about the fervor over a birther bill being such that other bills Brewer signed did not receive proper attention? I was happy as could be she signed HR2191 into law, a bill that will prohibit illegal immigrants from receiving punitive damages in civil court cases. The law was made retroactive to help ranchers who have already been sued. Still awaiting HB 1593 which would challenge Obamacare head-on; another point on which Arizona can lead.

Not too much being said about those monumental bills. Guess the birther stuff ‘trumps’ everything else. Oh well.
