An issue you did not address in your podcast was the news that came out yesterday that Palin will remain at Fox as a commentator on various programs. I saw this on Comcast’s website, which probably means it was from the AP. I couldn’t find it there when I just re-checked, but it’s also on CNN.

The way this was cast in what I read was that this was an indicator she probably would not run, since Fox has had a policy of taking contributors off contract when they have indicated an interest in running for president, even if they haven’t officially announced, because Fox does not want to be seen favoring any presidential candidate. The story also noted that there was a deadline for contributors to tell Fox whether they were running or not. In one case they booted a contributor when he refused to say either way. Though it did not say it, the implication that was left for readers is that Palin has told Fox she will not run, and so they have therefor allowed her to stay on as a contributor.

Do you have any information that would challenge the assumptions presented here?

I was eagerly awaiting your Palin Report this week. We kept checking in to see when it was ready. There have been so many fragmented reports here and there about the bus, the event in D.C., the house in AZ, etc. I felt so happy hearing these small reports, so excited in anticipation. Finally it’s happening, but I needed to hear from you, to hear the voice of sanity. I know you, too, can make mistakes, but we trust your reporting, and thank you for it. Every time I hear Obama say another stupid thing, or people in congress not dealing with our problems, I want to scream. I’ve put out a silent prayer, “Please, Sarah, run! We need you.” “2012 can’t come soon enough.” Amen!

Thank you, Tammy, for all your efforts. Keep the clarity coming. Without realizing it, I’ve been buying into the anti-Sarah candidacy propaganda. I have a T-shirt, and a bumper sticker on my car that says it all: “Don’t blame me. I voted for Sarah Palin.” Keep up the good work. We need you, too, Tammy. Bless you.

Just call me “I love Sarah Palin”

    • Tammy says:

Yes, I should have addressed that in the Palin Report, but I’ll do so now and I think I can shed a little light on the Fox situation. But my comments should be viewed as speculation as I’m not privy to any confidential discussions, but I do have a decent sense of how certain things work 🙂

First of all, any policy Fox has about who they will keep on the air is entirely an internal decision; there are no federal rules about television commentary, with the exception of when we’re close to a race, but even then it’s an FCC rule about ‘equal time’ that does not affect cable television. So all of Fox’s rules are likely about internal determinations and policy.

I think it’s safe to say how Fox determines who they want to keep on the air and why can differ from person to person probably based on a variety of reasons, such as what the original contract guaranteed. Bottom line, I don’t think there is a hard and fast universal rule about this–Fox is obviously making decisions based on each individual case and so I think watching what Fox does with Palin is probably the *least* secure way of determining whether or not she’s running.

They’ll make their decision based on when they feel they need to, just like we’re approaching things as we feel we need to 🙂

      Hope that helps.

Sarah does not have to get in until the Fall if she wants. She does not need to explore like the rest of them. She reads she can see she has a built in base. With O4P or the other 50 sites. If she gets in early she will be attached not only by the MSM, but the other canidates in the race. They will not attack each other just her, they are under orders from the machine. Yummy I mean Tammy this was one of your best. I suggest when we get deeper in the contest we do suggestions for Sarah, I have a bunch of ideas and you could vet them.

  3. Ralph Buttigieg says:

    G’day

Mark, are you referring to this:

[No links allowed due to new security procedures so a link to CBS has been redacted. Sorry.]

    The important quote is:

“Speaking of Palin and Mike Huckabee at the time, Fox News executive vice president of legal and business affairs Dianne Brandi said, “[a]s soon as each of them shows some serious intention to form an exploratory committee, we would take the same action.”

Sarah Palin has not formed any exploratory committees so there’s no reason for Fox to sack her. She doesn’t really need one either. Remember she has always said her campaign would be unconventional.

tammy… palin took beck’s message from last year about RESTORING honor & applied it to the whole country, which beck also did last year…but i’m so glad she’s done it because more people need to hear it…the show was GREAT…and u sounded so clear ..just awesome!!!

  5. LJZumpano says:

    1. No one knows exactly what the FOX contract with Sarah says. And I am sure that Sarah will dot the i & cross the t to live up to whatever she agreed to. No one from FOX has indicated that there is even a”problem” at this point. MSM is using old playbook ideas to try to force the issue.
    2. Do not make this a public podcast. It is so good, I want to share it with the world, but I think it is time to force folks who are truly interested to step up to the plate and pay for the information. If these folks plan to donate to candidates, now is the time to choose to support the best commentator on issues concerning Sarah. Folks tend to value stuff they have to pay for, and they make a conscious decison when they do. I plan to tweet teasers to force them to think about it.

  6. LJZumpano says:

    3. Don’t forget Gov Palin’s appearance on Long Island, she didn’t visit the home of Teddy Roosevelt, she spoke to the movers & shakers of the business world.

  7. lord-ruler says:

Just a little correction to something Tammy said. She said Jon Huntsman is worth billions of dollars. Actually he is worth somewhere around $80 million. It is true that his father is a billionare but a couple of years ago he gathered all the kids around him and said “guess what? I am giving it all away and will hopefully die broke” I really doubt that his dad would finance his presidential campaign instead of spend it on the cancer hospital he owns in Salt Lake. When Jon Huntsman says he will not self finance he is doing so because he has no choice.

    • ShArKy666 says:

is jon huntsman SENIOR that friend of glenn beck who he says is the closest thing he’s found to george washington?…the guy who invented the plastic spoon and egg carton, started that cancer foundation and all that stuff? or am i thinking of the wrong jon huntsman? ..lo…I’M SOOOO CONFUUUUSED~

  8. Regarding Sarah “quitting” the governorship of Alaska: we need to work on changing that language. I have posted on many a comment thread that she didn’t quit, she made a huge sacrifice, giving up a job and position she loved. She, her family, and probably most concerning to her, her beloved state of Alaska, were all under constant attack by frivilous lawsuits filed by venomous people with no other goal but to harass and distract Palin.

Gov. Palin knew that the attacks were directed at her, and made the difficult and painful decision to step away from the job she had worked so hard for. She stepped away, drawing the fire with her.

And the fire has followed her ever since, and Alaska has been able to get on with business. Sarah Palin did the honorable and courageous thing in that situation.

She did not quit anything, she stepped out in another direction and led the attackers away from harming Alaska.

    • TAMocantor says:

      Yes, well said!

And would someone who can phone into the Dennis Miller show please politely point this out to him. He continually talks about his only reservation about Gov. Palin is her “quitting” the governorship. I believe he would respond well to ConservativePup’s well written explanation.

  9. deaves1 says:

I loved the opening music and words to your Palin report. We’re gonna do this. History is ripe for We the People to remove this tyranical dictator from office and ensure he answers for all he’s done to this Nation.

  10. NancyB says:

Maybe I’m looking too much into it; but it appears like Politico’s article posted on 5/28 “Sarah Palin Goes Behind Enemy Lines” seems to have intentionally posted the worst photo they could have chosen to lead this article, it almost looks like it’s been touched-up to darken the lines on her neck, she’s looking down with a sinister smile, but of course I do not trust the main stream media to show Sarah in a good light, either in photos or as a legitimate candidate for the presidancy. And, of course the article painted her chances of winning as slim.
[Due to no links policy, link to Politico redacted]
Sure there will be more viciousness and negativity to follow; they want to pound into the American mind that Sarah Palin is the worst candidate and has no chance of winning, but, hopefully the American people will know she is by far the best choice.

    Reference The Palin Report:

NBC News reporter AndrĂ©a Mitchell; “yes she can get on the back of a Harley”, which is also known as ‘The Bitch Seat’

.what Sarah can’t drive her own hog AndrĂ©a (hopefully I missed spelled her name)?

    The Clinton’s are Carpetbaggers AndrĂ©a.

    • ShArKy666 says:

andrea mitchell is LOATHSOME..i can’t stand that woman, and i can’t ever imagine ever suffering thru one of her garbage reports…i can’t wait till the day when ALL those lousy propoganda outlets, newspapers, and tv channals just COLLAPSE into the dustbin of history, and losers like mitchell are out on the street with a tin cup in their hand cos THAT’S where she really belongs!! i mean for these people to have contributed SOO much to the destruction of our country is just VILE…

    • JEN says:

More than likely she chose to ride rather than drive because it gave her freedom of movement to ingage the people…

  13. otlset says:

“I love the smell of emissions!”

…said Sarah to Peter Doocey from the back of a motorcycle at the Rolling Thunder staging area just before it started.

Lol! She’s so cheeky! I just love her.

  14. walk2thebeach says:

Right ON!! Just tweeted…@HeyTammyBruce Is Sun Fox all RINOs?? Not surprised by the stuffed shirt Kristol, but Chris gave legs to the misinformation about Sarah-sad
Also–@HeyTammyBruce Fat boy once again said Sarah wasn’t invited to “Rollling Thunder”… HE knows HE would never be invited. Fox is Anti-Sarah.
It seems that FOX is over reating to criticize of them having Sarah on their payroll… It is disgusting…
All of them seem to be unaware of all the xxx4Palin groups out there and very active… It will be a surprise to the establishment..
    Run Sarah Run..

  15. Shifra says:

If Andrea Mitchell had any shame, she would hang her head after that “interview.” I could hear her *salivating* at the thought that this Vietnam Vet would say something negative about Palin. And remember how she mocked Palin by scribbling “notes” on the inside of her hand? That was sooo classy (not). I was so annoyed that I googled her name to see if she was indeed a “journalist.” Yes, she does consider herself a journalist, but could she be any more unprofessional? There were also links to info about “Andrea Mitchell’s facelift” (OK, I am being snarky, but I am disgusted by these Lib phonies). And I found a quote about Mitchell from a blogger: “She’s a big, fat festering boil on the posterior of NBC that somebody needs to lance.” Whew, I vented, and I feel better now 🙂

  16. BostonBruin says:

Thanks Tammy! I’m super-psyched that the One Nation Bus Tour is heading my way!! I bet they stop in Lexington, MA – the original Lexington!

    • ecu22331963 says:

      BostonBruin,
Please take pictures of both the Palin’s and the crowd.
      Video would work great too.
      And than Post It.
      From a jealous TAM

      • BostonBruin says:

Based on comments by some members of the media, it looks like the Palin’s are not announcing their tour stops ahead of time in order to avoid being surrounded by the media. So, I’m not getting my hopes up.

        • BostonBruin says:

After thinking about it more, this is yet another brilliant move by the Palin’s. By not announcing their tour stops, they’ll have a better opportunity to meet lots more people one-on-one. The crowds at the sites are likely to be larger than normal since many folks are on vacation this week.

In addition, she’s not giving the anti-Palin folks time to organize and show up at the sites with their Palin-hate signs.

I just hope she’s being trailed by a video camera and will then produce a video summary of her bus tour.
