carly-fiorina

I knew she would do well, but she had to do so well that it needed to be an eclipse of all others. She couldn’t just maintain, or ‘hold her own,’ being the only one in the lineup who had never been in this position, she needed to knock it out of the park.

And boy, did she! The best case scenario about getting placed in the second tier came true: she’s receiving the attention and name recognition, was seen first without the distraction of Trump, now has the experience under her belt, and can watch the “main” debate and learn from that as well.

It is the best situation for her. Fox News is doing a poll of viewers asking them who won, and as of this post Carly has it by, are you ready? 83 percent!

Perry is next with 7 percent, but I have to say he held his own. He still seemed to have focus issues, but it was respectable.

Here are Carly videos and other follow up as well. You know I have my favorites: Carly and Walker. I’m keeping an open mind as much as possible, but the stronger the entire GOP lineup is, the better shape America is in, and the better chance we have of taking the White House.

Carly’s Tag line “(I will Lead) The resurgence of this great nation.” She should put that on Hats.

    Seen on the web:

“Seriously, does Hillary think winning the White House is like ducking in to use the toilet in a restaurant where you’re not really a customer? Just walk in like you belong, smile at people, say nothing, and boom. you’re on the throne?” – Anon

    That’s funny!

If she isn’t chosen to run as President, she should chosen to run as Vice President. What a powerhouse! She would be a credit to any Republican administration. Running for VP would put her on a course to become President.

My understanding is that HP was running through choppy waters during Fiorina’s time at the helm. I’d like to get an objective sense of how well she handled that gig. This would be more meaningful data than her words when considering whether she’s up to the challenge of the presidency.

    • Cathode Rays says:

Yes, I’d like to know more about her more HP days, too. The legacy press was mainly negative as it is about any CEO. That cuts off info to all but the stubborn curious.

What I know for sure is that her Senate campaign turned me off. You didn’t know whether you were getting a conservative or RINO. Any campaign that is run like that and I assume RINO.

Still, I’d like to see her in the next administration. She is a formidable woman who rose to the top in business.

On her watch they have apparently navigated a major shift in hardware technology and consumer trends without a chasing or “me too” posture. Whatever the details of her tenure, the company now has its legs under it.

I wasn’t losing any sleep over her placement in the “Happy Hour Debate,” as I’ve seen it called, because I didn’t see any need to. Twenty years ago, being on the B team would have been a severe handicap; in the age of New Media, however, anything particularly noteworthy will be passed around.

I was really annoyed with Rick Santorum’s sour grapes whining about being in the second tier debate prior to, and the results have borne out my reasons for that annoyance. It’s sort of A Tale of Two Candidates: on the one hand, you have Santorum, who was whiny beforehand, showed clearly that he felt being stuck at the “kids’ table” was an affront to his dignity, and spent most of what I saw of that debate desperately trying to prove that he was better than his surroundings. Fiorina, on the other hand, did not seem to take being in the 5 pm debate as an insult, but rather as an opportunity to share her views with more people — her focus was not on her ego, but on her message. And the results of each approach are absolutely undeniable. One candidate spent a lot of time shouting about how he’s a leader; the other demonstrated that she actually is a leader.

Leaders make the best of whatever situation they may find themselves in — they don’t gripe about how the gods have cursed them. I think we’ve all had enough of the latter attitude after the last several years. Fiorina took lemons and made gourmet strawberry lemonade with sprigs of mint and flavored sugar around the rim of the glass. She is indeed a force to be reckoned with, and, despite my initial dubiousness at her announcement that she would run, I am very glad she’s in this race.

Oh, I also thought Perry and Jindal acquitted themselves fairly well. And someone needed to give Lindsay Graham a hug.

Carly, leading the resurgence of this great nation. <— I want this on a Bumper Sticker, right now!

There are two things that the media are going to be talking about regarding the first debate:

    1. The circus like atmosphere of the main debate – You had the ring masters, a few lions, some monkeys and of course, the clowns.

    2. Carly. Fiorina.

  9. rickh says:

    Carly won both debates. Period.

    • Norm says:

Bingo! She came out on top with both…watch her polls start to rocket. I was very impressed with her last night and the frosting on the proverbial cake this morning was seeing the video of her pummeling Chrissy ‘pee down my leg’ Matthews in an interview…..Chrissy was literally slobbering on himself.

  10. LJZumpano says:

I knew she could. I knew she would. I’m glad she did!!!!

I was so proud of Carly last nite but the best part is watching her interviews today, especially CNN,standing strong and presidential.

  12. Alain41 says:

Carly was excellent. The first debate was more collegial policy oriented and I think that plays to Carly’s strength especially when you’re being introduced to people for the first time.

FNC made the correct decision having 2 debates. And 10 was a good round cut-off number. Having a 10-7 split was fine. If had been 11-6, I think that would have been a noticeable difference and led to criticism of FNC and the recipient. As is, everyone in both debates has been evaluated as a serious candidate.

  13. Andy says:

So many great comments…Carly realy hit the nail on the head when she said; Hillary Lies & Democrats Are “Undermining The Very Character Of This Nation”…I see Margaret Thatcher reincarnated.

  14. PJH91321 says:

I feel that Carly was lucky to be in the first debate after seeing how the 2nd debate kind of turned into a circus because of the moderators and all those Big Egos on the stage. Fiorina was actually able to get more attention at the low-key debate and thus more name recognition followed. I still need to do more research on her background but I am feeling very hopeful about her.

  15. Piquerish says:

She was solid as God’s Promise on Chris Wallace today. I think Chris may actually like her.
