Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker made it official Tuesday, endorsing Ted Cruz a week ahead of the state’s pivotal Republican primary.
Cruz is “the best positioned by far” to win both the nomination and the presidential election, Walker told a local radio station.
The Wisconsin governor also praised Cruz as a “constitutional conservative” who is willing to take on “the big special interests,” even if they are aligned with Republican interests.
Cruz, who worked for the endorsement, had said Tuesday he is “a big, big fan” of the governor, and that he is a “true conservative.”
