Brief and nicely done, I’m sure the direct influence of his new campaign guy Paul Manafort. Mr. Trump focused on jobs and the economy, and referred to Ted Cruz as “Senator Cruz,” jettisoning at least for the night “Lyin’ Ted.” This may seem like a small thing, but it elevates Mr. Trump and signals that he knows at some point not having relationships be completely toxic will be helpful.

Here’s his full speech, a bit over 7 minutes long. Well done.

This speech is the exception. He’ll return to form, he can’t help himself because he is a dyed in the wool con man, imho.

One of Taranto’s columns was headed, “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Trump”. Here we see Dr. Jekyll at his best. If his angelic side can stay on top, and if he can work up a ground game — or marry one by, for example, making peace with Cruz — then a powerful political engine might come out of this. That’s a lot to hope for, and it’s an even taller order to hope that, in the aftermath of an election victory, President Trump can actually deliver on those lofty promises. But, heck, we all like to hope, however stupid it is. If it comes down to it, I’ll take Trump’s hope over Hillary’s suicidal lunacy.

    Compared to Hillary’s screeching quasi “I have a dream ” speech . I’ll take Trumps .
