Fed Preserves US-Mexico Food Stamp ‘Partnership,’ While USDA Prepares for Meat Inspector Furloughs
by Tammy on March 18, 2013I think this tells you everything you need to know about the intentions of Obama and the political class as a whole. But keep in mind, this food stamp ‘partnership’ with Mexico was started by George W. Bush, making it clear politicians on both sides of the aisle have been the problem, and still are. Via Fox News. Salmonella outbreaks. E. coli outbreaks. Millions of dollars in economic losses. These are among the scenarios the Obama administration warned about last month as it claimed the sequester would force the U.S. Department of Agriculture to furlough meat inspectors. But while the administration prepares to take that step, it continues to pursue a “partnership” with the Mexican government to “raise awareness” about...

Cyprus Taxes Bank Accounts, Closes Banks Until Thursday
by Tammy on March 18, 2013Geniuses each and every one. I know Cyprus is small, but this matters. They announces this special “levy” of 6-10% (tax) on Friday after the banks closed, which as you might imagine, causes a run on ATMs over the weekend. The ATMs, weirdly, were also “not working.” Today is a Cyprian holiday, and now they’ve announced the banks will stay closed until Thursday. There are many problems with this, not the least of which is the message it sends to every individual who holds a bank account in the EU. You have to consider, if the EU is willing to do this in Cyprus it’s only a matter of time it will happen in [insert any EU county or the...

Sequester This: Obama Tries to Punish His Enemies
by Shifra on March 13, 2013**A Post By Shifra** Two years ago, when hearing a clip of Obama urging Latinos to âpunish the enemy,â I violated one of my ârules,â namely, that âwords have meaning.â âNah,â I thought at the time, âObama sure gets carried away with himself sometimes. Nothing much to see here.â Sadly, I was wrong. Via WSJ: In its bid to make the sequester as painful as possible, the White House announced Tuesday that it is canceling all visitor tours of the White House “during the popular Spring touring season.” This fits President Obama’s political strategy to punish the eighth graders visiting from Illinois instead of, say, the employees of the Agriculture Department who will attend a California conference sipping “exceptional local...

After Passing CR That Funds Obamacare, GOP Presents Budget Symbolically Repealing It
by Tammy on March 12, 2013A very concise headline from CNS describing the absurdity of what the GOP is doing, all gestures while doing the opposite when it comes to actual action. And we wonder why we’re in such trouble. Via CNS News. One week after voting to give the Obama administration full funding for the implementation of Obamacare in the must-pass continuing resolution that will fund the federal government for the rest of fiscal 2013, the House Republicans are once again vowing to symbolically repeal Obamacare in legislation that is not must-pass. âWe donât like this law,â House Budget Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) said of Obamacare as he unveiled his budget for fiscal year 2014 at the U.S. Capitol on Tuesday. âThis is why...

Whew! White House Calligraphers Escape Ermagherd Sequester!
by Tammy on March 6, 2013Due to the Ergagherd Sequester!, tours in the White House have been stopped and it looks like we’re closing 173 air traffic control towers as well. But don’t worry, the three calligraphers in the White House we’re paying $277,050 have escaped unscathed. Go figure. Chief White House Calligrapher Gets Paid $96,725 Per Year

Sen. Sessions: Auditor Reveals Obamacare Will Add $6.2 Trillion To Long-Term Debt
by Tammy on February 26, 2013Senator Sessions is one of our heroes. Here is again doing something no other senator does: speak honestly to us about our situation and the issues. This time it’s about ObamaCare and it’s obscene cost–$6.2 trillion in unfunded spending, much more than any new taxes can provide. In other words, it’s another national economic disaster. Via RCP. At a Budget Committee hearing today, Ranking Member Sessions announced the results of a new Government Accountability Office report on the long-term deficit impact of the President’s health law. The results are shocking: over the next 75 years, the law will add $6.2 trillion to the deficit in present value termsânot including the interest costs associated with the additional borrowing. This proves that...

Krauthammer: Sequester “Most Ridiculously Hyped Armageddon Since The Mayan Calendar”
by Tammy on February 20, 2013A very good conversation on Special Report today looking at the sequester. This is the segment I discuss on The Daily TAM Briefing today, and includes AB Stoddard’s lament that it would cause federal workers to possibly miss their summer vacation (welcome the everyone else’s world) and Krauthammer’s comment that this is the “Most ridiculously hyped Armageddon since the Mayan calendar.” Indeed. It’s about 8 minutes and worth watching in it’s entirety. Watch the latest video at video.foxnews.com To help Obama along, here’s what he’d like us to think about when it comes to cutting the budget:

On âJobsâ ⌠That âThree-Letter Wordâ
by Shifra on February 19, 2013**A Post by Shifra** Remember this gem from our esteemed VP-Speller-Extraordinaire? And this, from our Joker-in-Chief: So, when I recently saw the following headline, I immediately tweeted: UPI Headline: Obama says he will focus on âjob creationâ ...

Gas Prices Rise 32 Days Straight
by Tammy on February 18, 2013What it cost for me to fill up my little sedan last week. Reaction by liberals? . This, of course, is in large part the Dumb Bastard making sure that the cost of gasoline gets as high (artificially) as “green” fuels. This man and his delusions can be stopped if we get a Congress that is willing to confront him. I can’t even begin to tell you how important 2014 is. This story by CNN doesn’t attribute any of the responsibility to the DB, none at all. It’s about China, and presumed increased demand, etc, etc. “Increased oil production” in the US is mentioned, apparently compelling the Middle East to cut production (you’ve gotta keep those prices high!). Of course,...

Obama Commits Assault With Battery
by Maynard on February 14, 2013Workers at this Michigan battery plant built with a $150 million federal stimulus grant but never opened played games and watched movies while their wages were paid for by U.S. taxpayers, according to a government report. This is the same factory site where, less than 3 years ago, Obama loudly proclaimed himself the savior of American industry. What happened?

Obama Supporters Shocked, Angry at New Tax Increases
by Tammy on January 7, 2013Their first big hint that they were being conned should have been when their unicorns didn’t arrive after 2008. Via Washington Examiner. Sometimes, watching a Democrat learn something is wonderful, like seeing the family dog finally sit and stay at your command. With President Obama back in office and his life-saving âfiscal cliffâ bill jammed through Congress, the new year has brought a surprising turn of events for his sycophantic supporters. âWhat happened that my Social Security withholdingâs in my paycheck just went up?â a poster wrote on the liberal site DemocraticUnderground.com. âMy paycheck just went down by an amount that I donât feel comfortable with. I guarantee this decrease is gonnaâ hurt me more than the increase in income...

Maria Bartiromo, In Epic Confrontation, Totally Destroys Democrat Sen. Ben Cardin
by Tammy on December 26, 2012**A Post by TAM dilvish, Promoted From TAMWire** A thing of beauty, as Maria rips Senator Cardin a new one. Note from Tammy: As only an Italian woman can đ The trading floor, from which CNBC was broadcasting, erupted into applause after her interview. This s what the media should be doing with every politician on every issue. Kudos to Bartiromo.
