(Video) American Race Relations are Worst in 25-Year History of NBC Poll
by Shifra on July 18, 2016Yes, let’s all talk about our “horrible race relations,” so Obama can wag his finger to lecture us, yet again. Chuck Todd reports that “African Americans are in a negative standpoint, minus 22 points, saying the country is headed down the wrong track.” But nothing about Obama’s failed policies – high unemployment (especially in African-American communities), massive regulations that strangle small businesses, the disaster of Obamacare, his refusal to take meaningful action to destroy ISIS…and so many more failures. Via Free Beacon. ….A separate poll showed African Americans particularly are feeling increasingly negative about the country, Todd added. A standard poll question asks Americans how they are feeling about the direction of the country. “In January, African-Americans were a net...

Burka Ban in Switzerland: Muslims Told to Obey or Pay Huge Fine
by Shifra on July 10, 2016Has Obama weighed in yet about the “racism and xenophobia” in Switzerland? Via Express. A BURKA BAN has been come into force Switzerland with Muslims who break the new law forced to pay a fine of almost £8,000. It is now illegal to wear a face veil in public in the Tessin region following the result of a referendum on the issue in 2013, in which 65 per cent voted in favour of a complete ban. The anti-burka-law, which bans face veils, burkas and the niqab, came into force on July 1 and will be enforced by police in the area…. Anyone caught wearing a veil can be fined up to €9,200 (£7,890). Of the 350,000 inhabitants in the Italian...

Dem State Senator: Ban Confederate Flag From Gettysburg Battle Reenactment
by Shifra on July 4, 2016While I fully understand why people would have a viscerally negative reaction to the Confederate flag, why bother having a reenactment if one side is forbidden to carry flags? Should no flags be carried into “battle?” Should the Confederate uniforms be banned? Maybe only Union soldiers should participate in the reenactment? Or, maybe the Confederate soldiers should just carry this flag: Via ABC27. Confederate flags and the soldiers carrying them came to Gettysburg on July 1-3, 1863. The history books tell us it was the bloodiest battle of the Civil War. Historians tell us it was the turning point for the North. Every year, participants from around country flock to Gettysburg to reenact the famous battle. There’s the blue. And...

Saudi Women Can Now Drive… Bumper Cars in Amusement Park
by Shifra on June 22, 2016Um, progress? Via WSJ. ….At the weekly ladies-only night at the Al Shallal Theme Park in the coastal city of Jeddah, women discard head scarves and head-to-toe black gowns to reveal the latest trends—ripped jeans, tank tops, and tossed-to-the-side ’80s-style hair. For many of them, the biggest draw of the amusement park isn’t the few hours of fashion freedom. Instead, they go there to get behind the wheel—even a bumper-car wheel—in a country that bans female drivers…. With the exception of remote corners of the desert kingdom—where Bedouin women sometimes get behind the wheel—the amusement park offers a rare, hassle-free environment for women to hone their driving skills. That is partly why, on ladies nights, there is a winding queue...

Obama Tries To Promote First Family’s Yosemite Vacation As “Public Service”
by Shifra on June 19, 2016A real public service would be for him to stay in Yosemite. At least until January 20, 2017. Via White House Dossier. President Obama is trying to promote his exorbitant three-day vacation with his family OUT WEST to the Carlsbad Caverns and Yosemite with as some kind of benign effort to promote our nation’s National Parks…. Millions of dollars in flight costs, including Air Force One and whatever other support jets they have to send out there. And that’s just flights lone, not to mention all the other logistical costs. For a family vacation masquerading as a public service…. Related: Breitbart: Obama’s Father’s Day Trip Disrupts Yosemite Travel ****************************************************

John Kerry: Terrorism Is A Bigger Threat Than Climate Change
by Shifra on June 17, 2016Yes, Kerry now thinks that ‘Climate Change’ is the #2 threat in the world. He also concedes that some terrorists are ‘radicalized for reasons having to do with religion.’ He didn’t mention which religion, though. But thank you, Captain Obvious. Via Washington Examiner. Secretary of State John Kerry this week acknowledged twice that the Islamic State and the threat of terrorism around the world is bigger threat than climate change, even though he has insisted in past years that climate is the bigger threat. Kerry revealed his subtle change of thinking during his trip to Europe, where he twice indicated that when it comes to global threats, terrorism is first, and climate change is a very close second. “[L]et me...

Israeli Doll Sparks Terror Scare On Cyprus Flight
by Shifra on June 1, 2016Why would a passenger label the box “b-o-o-b-a” rather than using the Hebrew word בּוּבָּה ? Better yet, how about using the word: d-o-l-l ? And, did the airline worker really think terrorists would label a box containing a bomb: b-o-m-b ? Inquiring minds want to know. Via Times of Israel. An Israel-bound flight from Cyprus was briefly held up on Tuesday after an airline cleaner misread the label on a box, mistaking the Hebrew word for “doll” for the Greek word for “bomb.” The Aegean Airlines janitor panicked after he discovered the parcel marked “booba,” or doll in Hebrew, and read it as “bomba,” the Greek for bomb…. The incident caused a brief delay as police swept the passenger...

Report Finds Intruders Breach Airport Fences Every Ten Days
by Shifra on May 26, 2016Why isn’t more being done to secure the airports? Because: “Nothing bad’s happened. Yet.” Via Fox News. Under pressure to prevent people from sneaking onto runways and planes at major U.S. airports, authorities are cracking down not on the intruders who slip through perimeter gates or jump over fences, but on the release of information about the breaches. A year after an Associated Press investigation first revealed persistent problems with airports’ outer defenses, breaches remain as frequent as ever about once every 10 days â despite some investments to fortify the nation’s airfields. As Americans wait in ever-longer security screening lines inside terminals, new documents show dozens more incidents happening outside perimeters than airports have disclosed…. After discussing intrusions openly...

Saudi Cleric Warns that Posing for Photos with Cats Is a No-No
by Shifra on May 25, 2016Pics with cats are now forbidden. No word yet, though, on beheading “infidels.” Via Times of Israel. A Saudi cleric recently ruled that taking pictures with cats, or any other animals, is forbidden and that taking pictures in general, regardless of the animal preferred, is prohibited. Sheikh Saleh bin Fawzan Al-Fazwan, a member of the Saudi Council of Senior Scholars, said that “taking pictures is prohibited if not for a necessity — not with cats, not with dogs, not with wolves, not with anything,” in response to a question about a “new trend of taking pictures with cats [which] has been spreading among people who want to be like the Westerners,” according to a translation provided by the Middle East...

Man Arrested for… Lying About Being Attacked by a Bear
by Tammy on April 30, 2016But Lois Lerner, Bowe Bergdahl and Hillary Clinton are all still wandering around. Got it. Via WBIR. A Campbell County man has pleaded guilty to lying about being attacked by a bear. In September, Michael Savage, 28, of LaFollette, claimed he was walking along Demory Road in LaFollette early that morning when he was attacked by a bear. TWRA and local law enforcement responded, setting out traps and searching for the animal. The community was worried about the possibility of another attack. A few days later, TWRA determined that Savage’s injuries– multiple lacerations on his chest and face, were not caused by a bear and that there was no evidence to support his claim. Savage was charged with a felony...
