**Slogan Contest** What should Obama’s campaign be? I have a feeling some of you have ideas… 😉
Obama brought his Scorched Earth campaign today to Ohio where it looks like “Forward” went backward, down and under the bus. Welcome the new and improved slogan, “Betting on America.” Funny what contortions you have to go through to give the false impression that you don’t hate the country.

Perfect! There are so many “Forward” sign around here, and now they are outdated! Another thing I’ve noticed, every Obama sign I’ve seen is hanging inside the home in the front window. Last election they were in the front lawn due to the fact that they are YARD signs. I think that is telling.

(True although not very catchy… ) TISWWM 2012 (There Is Something Wrong With Me)
Trish – I had shared on an earlier thread about when I went to see fireworks in June on the Delaware River between Lambertville, NJ and New Hope, PA. These two towns comprise a strong liberal bastion in that area. When walking through both towns I was surprised to see only two Obama/Biden signs. While the first was displayed prominently in the middle of the owner’s yard, the second was low to the ground, tucked between a flower bed and low bush as if the homeowner was embarrassed to have the sign be too visible.
Too funny.
As a graphic artist, I can’t help but note the difference between the “Forward” slogan and this one. The new slogan is done in a deliberately retro style that reminds one of the graphics of the 40s or 50s. And note that the Obama “O” is absent. I would say that they are trying to evoke, without actually saying so, a time in our past that was more pro-American than Democrats are comfortable with today. A very interesting compulsion to confess.
