netanyahu

Thank God. And everyone who voted for Likud 😉 And as for all the “Netanyahu’s gonna lose! He’s gonna lose!” ranting leading up to the election, it looks like my assessment was correct: it was a battle for the minds of the undecided. A battle Obama and liberals in Israel lost.

Via Haaretz. They’re liberal and probably hated typing their headline, LOL!

With nearly all votes counted, Benjamin Netanyahu’s Lkud party is set to emerge as the election’s big winner with 29 seats. The Zionist Union trails behind with 24 seats. The Joint List of Arab parties is the third-largest party at this point, followed by Yesh Atid, Kulanu, Habayit Hayehudi, Shas, Yisrael Beiteinu, United Torah Judaism, Meretz and Yahad.

President Reuven Rivlin said he would work for a national unity government.

Ballots were cast at 10,372 polling stations throughout Israel. There are 5,881,696 Israelis (citizens over the age of 18) who were eligible to vote today for the 20th Knesset.

Poor Haaretz LOL! They were writing story after story about how “King Bibi” was going to be defeated.

Netanyahu’s rival, Isaac Herzog, actually said he trusts that Obama will make a good deal with Iran that will benefit Israel. The Israeli Leftists are really insane….

(Fyi, “Likud” means “unity” and it’s pronounced “Lee-KOOD”)

And there’s a rumor that Obama is sending his Team to influence the Dog Catcher Election in Clayhatchee, Alabama 🙂

Shifra, the Lord of Israel and all the gentiles who believe in him have not deserted them/us. Those of evil intent believe that they have the upper hand in this world, but are only fooling themselves. One has only to read the Bible to know how it all ends (and they lose). Glory to him on high. 🙂

Shifra, today’s headline WSJ editorial, “Netanyahu’s Victory”, states: “Opposition leader Isaac Herzog also opposed Mr. Obama’s emerging deal with Iran.” No details given; the focus is on Netanyahu, but I’d certainly expect that even Israeli leftists are concerned about a nuclear Iran. I suppose there’s some nuance or interpretation of Herzog’s position here; do you know why they say this?

    Our prayers have been answered!

Now, let’s elect a responsible, adult President that can work with Mr. Netanyahu.

    Long live Israel!

    Exhale… Wonderful news!

Since election day was also St. Patrick’s Day, here is an Irish Guardian Angel prayer.

These things, I warmly wish for you-
Someone to love, some work to do,
    A bit of o’ sun, a bit o’ cheer.
And a guardian angel always near.

Watching the election results and eventual win by the Likud party, Deuteronomy 30:15 came to mind. The people of Israel chose life.

  9. Maynard says:

It’s worth noting that in 2012, Netanyahu congratulated Obama on re-election. I guess it’s too much to expect Obama to be similarly diplomatic.

  10. Alain41 says:

Re NewsWire link that Obama played a bigger role in election than reported; note that one of the V15 (Victory 15) co-founders that worked against Bibi, is named Nimrod Dweck. I hope something is lost in translation there.

This Feb. McClatchy article has decent rundown of who was helping/advising whom in the campaign. Likud hired the 26 yr. old digital strategist who helped Cruz get elected in 2012. Ends with the aligned Arab parties saying that they hired no American advisors. May be true. They might have been given advisors. http://www.mcclatchydc.com/2015/02/17/256929/in-israeli-elections-us-political.html
