While I love the president, and have no qualms putting my safety in his hands when it comes to dealing with the War on Radical Islam, I certainly would never give him my wallet when it comes to domestic issues. Did anyone know we were almost reduced to having a bakesale this weekend to keep the Fed running? Congress has apparently produced a “stop gap” funding bill and sent it to the president, just in time to make sure the government didn’t shut down Friday night. You see, we went over budget and ran out of money.

Hmmm, maybe it’s the $3500 cruise ship suites for Katrina evacuees that sent us over the edge. In fact, when you extrapolate what FEMA is paying (with our tax dollars) Carnival Cruise Lines to house Katrina victims and FEMA employees, compared to how many are actually living in the ships (at half capacity or below), it would be less expensive to house everyone in suites at the Waldorf!

At least a drunken sailor spends his own money. Let’s not forget the president, and now everyone in congress, are binging on ours, and not even doing it well.
