    I’m the first to say that South Park gets the same unfair bad rap that Tim Burton gets (because of Nightmare Before Christmas), but I think it’s pretty funny that NBC and CNN get awards for their Katrina coverage. Too bad none of the “hard questions” was “show me one rape victim.”

    I have to say I get a little frusturated. We’re supposed to believe that the party that founded the Klan, instituted Jim Crow, instituted segregation, filibustered the Civil Rights Act, and supported it with 20% less of their party than the Republicans suffered a massive conversion in the ’60s and it’s just a coincidence that affirmative action has led to greatly inflated minority college drop-out rates and the largely-Democratic media bought the “blacks become cannibalistic serial rapists overnight” line without any evidence? I’m probably being unfair, but history has compressed of a lot of the “you had to be there to understand” arguments in some pretty unfortunate ways.
