Shocker: The British Sailors Actually Know How To Look Upset

They look more unhappy being home than they did as guests of the Members Only Jacket Man.

At their press conference this morning. What? Is it that your days of goodie bags, pancakes and chess are over??

    I didn’t know about the pyjamas. Perhaps I have been too critical. Who could have possibly withstood that kind of “pressure”?

    The fact that this sort of detail was included in a statement meant to explain their shameful behavior while captive speaks volumes.

    “The questions were aggressive and the handling rough… .”
    This is the best they could come up with?? These sailors continue to embarass themselves and their country and are making a mockery of the British military they represent.

    You people are being too tough on the Iranians and the Brits. What a magnanimous gesture to release the hostages…..er prisoners…..er guests for Easter.

    Look, the Sailors were in a tough spot. We don’t know what we would have done. We do know what previous generations would have done and it wouldn’t have been this. The fact remains that just because they have been released, the capture and near torture remains illegitimate and Iran should still pay a price. Not bombing as that’s probably what they want to stir up the population. But economic pressure. Anything but more groveling.

    Another thought. Where is the left in this country decrying the brutal treatment, the near mock executions and the solitary confinement? Or is that only wrong if it’s a democracy being accused of it (whether rightly or wrongly) instead of a murderous dictatorship?

    Anyone think the public in the U.S. and Europe have had enough of this kind of humiliation? I don’t. People will forget about it around the time they are taking their post Easter dinner nap on Sunday. Even secularists. It will take something far more catastrophic than this to arouse outrage. People are distracted by important things.

    Gotta go. “Entertainment Tonight” is about to come on and I forgot to set the DVR.

    They were captured by IRANIANS!!! Good grief! Sadaam fought these pricks for 6 years to a draw and we took his military down in 3 weeks!!! US Navy guys would have not only fought back but would have prevailed and prisoners would now be in our jail! The British have become an effite people who still think having a King and Queen is a good idea!
