Nobody knows what really happened, but it’s said that Israeli jets struck a target in Syria on September 6. Israel isn’t talking, and Syria’s protest is strangely low-key, and the rest of the world is merely whispering. Either this was a complete non-event, or something was destroyed that the Syrians would be embarrassed to reveal.

Among other things, this raid — if it actually occurred — would be meant as a warning to Iran.

We may eventually find that something very important happened here. Stay tuned.

A succinct summary of the reports and rumors is in this article on Pat Robertson’s CBNNews site. Also on that page is an interesting video report leading into an interview of John Bolton by Pat Robertson.

I read it was a “state of the art” air defense missle battery that is supposedly jam-proof, so fast it cannot be countermeasured, and so sensitive that it cannot be misled. The Russians provided the equipment, and had been bragging about it’s capabilities. The Israelies jammed it and blew it up. It may have been manned by Russian avisors training Syrians on the equipment, but this is unknown. Embarrassment all around, Syria is trying to get Mastercard to reverse the charges for the super system, no doubt.

Another theory is that there were nuclear or bio weapons at that site. And that is far more likely in my opinion since the syrians probably had whatever saddam shipped out of iraq prior to the start of the war in 2003. And north koreans have also recently been in that area.

Actually, Connecticutbruce, the UN found a bunch of Saddam’s missing WMDs. They were at the UN headquarters in NYC. Kinda amazing how they could misplace some chemical weapons like that.

My first reaction to this news, was that Israel, has no qualms about acting either overtly or covertly. The U.S. on the other hand would rather negotiate and play nice.
Actions such as this are the ones that the Islamofacists take serious note of. Actions like I described the U.S. taking, only serve to allow them to buy time and prepare for the next strike.
It is time for the U.S to Kick A–, aand Take Names, on a regular basis.
