Md. inmate who fled hospital killed
An inmate who escaped from a hospital Wednesday, briefly taking a worker hostage and stealing two getaway cars, was cornered hours later in a cemetery by police and killed in a shootout, authorities said.
Poke, btw, was serving life plus forty years at Jessup Correctional Institution for kidnapping, carjacking, and robbery. Between this story and our hero citizen who stopped the robber in an earlier, I’d say 2008 is off to a great start!
My feelings about this is similar to when I read that a bunch of Islamo-fascists are killed in Gaza or Afghanistan – the world is a slightly better place today.
